UK Nuclear reduction

To those who might not be aware let me just lay down the situation.
For a while now it has been somewhat obvious that the current system of Trident missiles that are the backbone of the UK's nuclear armament needs replacing. Many issues have been raised over the last few years about how to replace the system, the cost of replacing the system and whether or not the system should be replaced.
Now I'd like to say that I dont like nuclear weaps very much, or the thought of stockpiling such weapons of destruction, but they do provide a good reliable threat/defence in the form of M.A.D & make no mistake M.A.D is still very much a concern today as it was during the cold war.
Getting back, recently with Obama's election we have seen the US making waves/moves towards trying to get people to disarm their nuclear stocks. While doing not much if anything about the US stockpile I might add (or so it seems from over here) and with that in mind today it seems that our one eyed scottish idiot (otherwise known as gordon brown) wil ltell the UN he is willing to deep 6 one of our Vanguard subs (the vehicle that carries that Trident system) and reduce our complement from 4 to 3.
This is patented madness to a T, he is willing to reduce our protection and the protection of the EU to satisfy his need to outshine his predecessor Mr Blair (otherwise know as the out & out liar) and be seen as a 'statesman'
Serisously its things like this that make me think that all elected officals should have to under go CAT/fMRI scans of their brains every 6 months along with psychological evaluations and the results made public to make sure they are still sane enough to be running the country.

Its pretty hard to sneek a sub past all the cameras that exist at faslane, people like greenpeace etc as well the press keep a close eye on the comings and goings, and as its our only port capable of dealing with the Trident Subs its easy to watch. Remeber the proposed cut is a submarine, not warheads jsut yet.

in my opinion we should not be redusing the number of subs but replacing egsisting ones with more eficient ones thus creating more work building them and saving us tax money on more eficient tecnoligies
our goverment can hardly be called sneaky stupid yes but not sneaky

Gordon Brown is a "class A+ moron" and i wouldn't trust a class A+ moron-to look after a pile of dog poop, let alone look after this nation

PS. i have an excellent trident retirement home...in the rear ends of Brown and Blair...
the only trouble with those "homes" is that the urge to pull the trigger would be to great

you may be right, but i think brown's bigest fault is he is trying to be blair but does not have the intelegence to relise that blair was also incompitant
a pice of evidence to support your argument though is the fackt that unlike any outher british Pm brown has not taken controll of our army and made decisions about war plans he just keeps replacing the head of the millatry whenever they are critacised by the public

That quote was worth it in the old damn "Europe of nation[alism]s" that some people would wish to see returning. (d'oh)
Well, you guys from EU will have to give up your prejudices, as France had has and will still have more nuclear weapons than UK given Brown's project regarding them (unless we were to get some real anti nuclear president). So unless you seek protection from Russia, there isn't much more choices in geographical Europe! (Israel isn't in Europe, excepted for football WC qualifiers

)

i have nothing against th E,U i would be a fool to dislike it as im a farmer and it is a asset in my eyes. But relying on countries of whom in the past have shown hesitance to help in milatry operations would be foolish

You're a farmer and you're pro-EU?

Impossible.

As I said, in EU, France and UK have the weapons.
Nobody else. Apparently countries such as Germany and Netherlands participate in NATO nuclear research exchange or something like that, but the countries who have in the EU, nuclear weapons as we speak, are your country, and mine.

Unless Russia and Israel were to join EU, there's no other nuclear weapons owner in EU.

Perhaps a group in the "way of extincton" (joking, just that I'm also surprised

), but good to know there are some of them around!
