what do you think about chaosgatewars?

what would make it more appealing to you?

leave this topic here... we know there's a chaos section, but its not the chaos players' opinion we're after...

but that is the idea of it, the whole point is so some players cant just keep getting better than everyone else. i know it sucks if u spend alot of time on it, but imo it makes it better. i havent played this or the previous wave, but i might go on it now.

Indeed tis the reset...i used to play chaos A LOT but thats mainly why i don't now...I think there shouldn't be a total RESET...you get to keep something like maybe some credits and/or other resources or maybe some miners...

I've played a bit of chaos and quantum.. I don't really mind them, but for some reason I can't manage to stick with either one a whole wave. If there were more active players, it might be more fun..

hmm... thats an interesting concept...

sort of that you keep a certain % of each stat you have from wave to wave... and of course new players dont start with nothing at all...

we'll toss that idea around a bit...

we're interested in all opinions here... even the negative ones... (maybe especially those...)

if you're wondering, we're doing this purely on impulse... not been asked by anyone to do it... (except maybe those voices in our heads...)

I remember when the new chaosgate came out, and everyone that had SS on the previous server wondered about what would happen, and the new guy that was running basically said its not our concern we dont owe you anything, that was the old game, from there it was fairly clear how things where going to work out for CGW, it was going to sink, (maybe a new person now)

I deleted my account on there and blocked the chaos part of the forums and never looked back, how many people even play that game now.

If you wanted to really sum it up, Origins is the same, had great potential, then some people who where throwing the $$ at it, wanted stupid updates, to suit there game style, everyone else got screwed and and and ta da, dead game now.

The fact it resets is what puts me off, too.

SGAW is chaos's big non-resettable brother

I tell you what id like to see.

Is a whole new concept a whole new Idea, completely different in every way to SGW main and so on. Their are many games out thier on the internet nothing like SGW which are very succesful, Admin should code a completely new type of game, where eveything works differently. Start from scratch with no starting block, i.e Main code, and think totally outside the box.

Maybe something Flash based, doesnt neccesarily have to be the same old text based, u.p, income, attack , def, covert.

i like the idea that you are trying to think different... but this is just for chaos how it is atm i think ... and as for your idea, you gave me the idea of a "risk" type game where a universe is drawn up, ever expanding or never ending(depends how you think) and each player has a sector or star system w/e... but anyway, thats for another day

chaos doesnt bear much of any resemblance to main any longer... (and we're working on getting hephaestus and virgil to make it completely different from sgaw too)

some of the things being worked on for chaos are shall we say, chaotic...
they involve a lot of random events and things that dont work the way they normally would...

AoHs ideea si quite good and fits with the new Stargate series...

On Topic:My ideea is that the player can have a choice on what they can keep depending on what playing style there is.The reset is half good as you can start from scrath but also you loose some of what you gained through hard work and thats what upsets a lot of people...
