how do these people get titles like right hand, and prodigy?

They are officer/commander stuff.
For example a Asgard commander is Supreme Commander. And he/she can also give the title of Fleet Commander to 1 officer. Of the other races titels I dont know.. I hope this helps.

Right hand and prodigy along with Nano Prime are available for designation to an officer by their commander once their commander ascends.

Hey i have a question.
I am goauld. But i am called Colonel.
How the hell to i get that title off???
I DONT want to be called Colonel_Lord_Grant.

Did you ever have a Tauri commander? Your current commander should be able to give you a different title.
