Change to attacking

I think and this is just a rough idea no real thought put into it but instant attacks kinda kill the game faster.
Why not cause a time for an attack and allow the defender to know about a potential incoming attack, maybe that the attack does a lot of damage to weapons and UP levels etc etc

IMHO, has no use - besides the fact that you want to damage developed facts like covert levels etc
Why? Because almost noone dares to do such a thing if they know you're online... favorite timing is when the opponent is sound asleep, LMAO. Would have no use unless you get 24 hours notice

Would change game dynamics completely.
And how would you judge the time allocation. Or are they all the same, if that's so, then it'd put you at a DISadvantage. Imagine someone sees your incoming attack, so, they mass you with the instant attack... Now since your troops are on their way, there is no way to retaliate. If they caught you, they could 0 your account, before your attack units even reach theirs.
