Many people have been asking me this question recently, so I thought I'd explain my reasons here.

Was it because they aren't TAF / TTF / Whoever is on that side......... NO
Was it because they are FUALL..................................................... NO
Was it because they are DDE........................................................ NO
Was I threatened if I did not join.................................................... LMAO NO (i'm surprised how many times I was asked that and lol'd, seriously people need to open their eyes and see the truth)
Was it because they are THE DARK DOMINIUM.................................. YES
Was it because they are a warring alliance....................................... YES

Was it to join and get involved in the server war.............................. HELL NO... IT'S AS BORING AS PISS

And now for my main reasons for joining TDD.

1) Everyday I got more and more bored of the game and in particular my own game play.
2) I realised I could not quit a 3rd time, especially as my responsibilities on Forums will keep me here and I would always be dragged back to the game
3) I felt the only option was to mix up my game play and just jump right in
4) I wanted to get involved in wars like now with BAU, where it's 7 vs 7. That is a BIG factor because these kind of wars are fun and respectful. Respect is very important in a war. If you don't have respect in a war then you end up like what the server war is now. A piss parade.
5) I wanted to fight my friends, and I have many of them.
6) Very important - I wanted to have fun and bring enjoyment back to my game play.

I'm pleased that no-one has expressed their disappointment about me joining TDD. It goes to show that you don't think i've changed at all. Just chaning my game play style.

I still catch cheats. I'm still the same guy, just a little darker.

Hopefully this answers the questions I keep getting.

I see I need to explain.

I was not seeking to join an Empire in particular. My reason for joining alliance had nothing to do with empires.

I felt that joining TDD would definitely spice my game play up, but not because it's in an empire.

Shoudnt this just be in the character history or RP area?

If you get the same question a gazillion times .. this is the best way to efficiently answer them.
But I guess people do have to care about in what alliance you are, first.. which in most cases is one of the least interesting bits of information about them.
