Building planets

For example:

I got a planet that is large and I want to build its attributes, is it the same if I build it for example 10trill on large and then upgrade its size, as if I first build it to mind blowing and then spend 10trill on it?

What cheaper or is it the same, as I have found no calc to figure this out :)

each time u upgrade size, the cost for buying defenses increases
so cheaper to buy defenses first :-D

U missunderstood, so I'll explain a little further, ist not about the defences its about the attributes on the planet...

it does not matter, as yes the attributed do more at mind blowing, but if you put them up at large, THEN upgrade to mind blowing, the stats change according to the new size, so its the same..

hope that helps

There was a 12.5% increase in my planet's stats when I increased the size from Monsterous to Mind Blowing. If that's true, then...

Say you want a 100b daily income planet from a Monsterous 25b income planet.

Method #1:
Amount of Naquadah required to reach 88,888,888,888 from 25,000,000,000 is 7,689,514,540,206.
Your Income planet would increase for 41,594 facilities.

+ 1T naq to increase size and gain 12.5%

Total cost : 7,689,514,540,206 + 1,000,000,000,000 = 8,689,514,540,206

Method #2:
+ 1T naq to increase size and gain 12.5% making it a 28,125,000,000 income planet

Amount of Naquadah required to reach 100,000,000,000 from 28,125,000,000 is 7,689,514,540,206.
Your Income planet would increase for 41,594 facilities.

Total Cost : 7,689,514,540,206 + 1,000,000,000,000 = 8,689,514,540,206

Feel free to donate 8.6T naq to me and I can verify it for you, if you'd like. ;)

The cost is the same. If you plan on upgrading its size either before or after building it.
This is because as Max showed, Size doesn't effect cost per click of attribute, it merely increases the totl attribute.

However If you wish to keep the planet at say large for defence building sake, it will cost more to get it to your desired attribute and keep it at large.

You better agree with me... otherwise I'll have to demote you to... umm... 2IC.
Can't really demote you since there's only two people in our alliance. :(

correct... it doesnt matter... the income is based on number of facilities, not on actual income it gives... all planets have a different base income, and then a certain number of facilities that are multiplied by the planet size multiplier...

(we did some research on that back in the day... see this thread...)
