So , seeings as im doing this whole ascending again thing, as i can only log in once or twice a week, its about all i can do, i was wondering about the different strategies people go for, Im not interested in the people who have loads of resources, and big alliance mates etc or spend $$$ (well you can share your storey too...) im talking about those that just do it through graft and ppting and such. I only say this because i find my way most ineffective. I basically am unable to rise into the top 100 due to being around once or twice a week , and the high possibility of being massed, So i just sit around getting 1 G n R a turn, ascending every 3/4 weeks. I sold a load of army size so i can ascend without haveing to send loads away (everyone i know is near the cap or above it... ) and i save all my excess naq on just adding MS slots. Thats that anyway... how about yall, Lets get strategic...

Usually I just go for 1 point per turn, so I ascend every 21 days. I farm as much as possible between ascensions, to cover high cost for next ascension.
Usually I shoot for rank around 800.

I've been sitting around 100-150m army size since reaching LG. I ascend every two weeks and keep track of stats needed to get into 5G&R range.
1full PPT in 1G&R range.
1full PPT in 5G&R range.
Helps to have some G&R during the week as well.

Method #1 ( non-war ):
Week 1 - Use your 4 days of PPTs back to back to get into 5G&R range to get most of your G&R out of the way.
5 G&R X 48 turns in a day X 4 days of PPT = 960 G&R
Farm and raid during non-PPT days for resources when available.

Week 2 - Use your 4 days of PPTs to get remaining G&R points needed for ascension. You only need 1 day on PPT in 1 G&R range as long as you didn't use nox too often.
Farm and raid during non-PPT days for resources.
Ascend.

Method #2 ( war ):
Week 1 - Use your first PPT to get into 1G&R range.
1G&R X 48 turns in a day X 4 days of PPT = 192 G&R
Farm and raid during non-PPT days for resources when available. Try to collect G&R when possible. The more you gain now, the more time you have to figure out 5G&R range in the 2nd week of PPT.

Week 2 - Four days of PPT in 5G&R range.
5 G&R X 48 turns in a day X 4 days of PPT = 960 G&R
Farm and raid during non-PPT days for resources.
Ascend.

Method 2 gives your enemies minimum stats to destroy. All the weapons and supers you train/equip when you're in 5G&R will never be touched by your enemy if you use your PPTs back to back to back with your ascension.

I have minimum raw UP. All techs except MS techs. Coverts and AC levels of 27 each ascension, which all can be purchased with ascension naq until you get to EAG. I generally lose minimum naq and around 6-7m supers/UU total each ascension until I reach EAG. I can easily raid that back within an hour.

I did the classic - farm lot's and sell uu, Store with friends, ascend every 2 weeks. I will do the 19th ascension tommorow morning. But that will be my last for a while (200mill lifers :l).

I'd recommend you get into 5 G&R then you PPT on Thursday around say for example's sake 23:00, Re-PPT Saturday 23:00, (By now you have enough or very close to enough G&R to ascend) Re-PPT Monday 23:00, Re-PPT Wednesday 23:00, Around Friday 22-23:00 Ascend, two days of PPT from ascension (At this point you can get a head start on your G&R for your next ascension, if you'd like, only having to wait one hour to re-PPT again for another 4 days.) 6 days PPT in 5 G&R again and your ready to ascend again instantly in two weeks.

Re-peat, and you can easily ascend every two weeks until you run out of resources.

Ascending every 2 weeks. 10 days out of 14 i'm on PPT. Approx. 5-6 days of that i'm sitting in the top 120 ranks for 5 G+R. The 4 days i'm not on PPT, I try to raid/farm enough to make up the extra required. Of course it helped that I had about 50 tril in the bank before I started this whole ascension run.

worked so far (20th ascensions)

ascend on sunday, give all resources to build up 100 rank, even if i dont have enough for raw for next one... so ascend on sunday + 4 days of ppt is more than enough for 1001 gnr. then utrain normal soldiers. sell all weps except ones on supers, sell fleets ( u get some naq from all that). continue farming or raiding to weednesday(second week). hit 2x ppt (before that u make sure u waste all supers on farming:) ), ascend.

i think army is important. ur on ppt for 10 days in 14 days period. so if u wanna do it every 14 days ask anyone, size matters:)

i think its best to aascend every month 1x, to save enough resources, and mybe u can actually have some fun ingame, but i dont wanna wait

Well I personally like the

1G&R -> 5 G&R -> 1 G&R -> 5 G&R and so on and so on... Although I haven't been ascending as much as some of the other people, it allows time to farm/raid etc so you don't have to go 'into the red'

Don't even concern yourself with G'N'R until the 9th day after your previous ascension. If timed right you can link 3 PPT's together leaving no risk to yourself.

I complete my 23rd ascension this friday/saturday

Get ready for the amount of naq you'll be spending on UP

I hit 1 GnR range til i ppt then link 10 in a row with teh ascension at the end leaving 4/5 days to farm..

I think its easier before u start to get a lot of naq banked and try and the more uu the better (10 days ppt with more miners gives u alot more naq)

I have my 22nd ascension in 2 weeks and im seriously running low on naq and uu

Just do a 14 day ppt. 4 days before ascending 10 days after.
9days get 1 gnr then 5 on the last.
easy.

or just get into the 1 GnR and farm and raid till you have 1001 points, then you already have the needed resources for the next

borrow a bucket load of naq and units to get into the top 120 and 5point that way

Well a 4 day PPT in the top 100 would resolve the massing issue. It takes i think 4.17 days to get the g&r. Then you still have the issue of farming and raiding some extra resourcers which can be done in the other 10 days. But if you're only around once or twice a week then I can see how difficult it could be.
