how does an unascended player get in the top 20?
If it's the same person and I remember correctly he used to hold the rank 1 spot for some time, however, he was ascended back then.

I noticed him in the top 10 awhile ago, good on 'em; must be quite the challenge

If anything, it might be easier to get higher ranks with an unascended race.
Asgard MSs are 'worth more' than any other MS. Techs are *EXTREMELY* cheap. Not to mention some 100mil AC @ 34 + 20mil attack/def troops will probably guarantee you a pg1 spot. (Remember, unascended weapons are like... 1/4 the cost of ascended weapons with only about 1/2 the efficiency)

Yes, he did hold the rank 1 spot for some time until he was massed, and he was LG+ something back then

if you unascend yourself (become daimon) but you already have best weapons built...does it remove them?

No. They disappear. They aren't sold.

That would be a strong player! but a least it's better than to see a perg *beep* standing on the lower ranks :O
