halo is awesome....
played it since a few months after halo 1 came out

Halo is SO not awesome. It degrades the very meaning of tactics and strategy in a FPS game.

As a matter of fact, I have very rarely played Halo. (Mainly because Halo 1 does not work (Everything is black'n white with an extreme contrast). Halo 2 is DX10, and Halo 3 is console only.)

I would agree Halo is a good game for 'just having some quick fun' (Nothing is being implied. ), but compare with other games (Particularly games like the Battlefield series), Halo is downright pathetic in terms of gameplay. It's either about the guy with the bigger gun (Nothing is being implied. ), or if they have similar/same guns, it's about who shot first. If you compare the amount of tactics needed to successfully win a game between Halo and a more 'serious' MMOFPS (i.e. BF2142), they don't even compare with each other.

And yet again, I do not hate Halo because I 'suck at it', nor because I cannot play it, but because compared to other FPS' it's downright pathetic.

Yeah its fantastic for a quick game, but why do you think so many people play it and STILL play it? Because its all round fantastic.

balogna, I destroy my friends all the time only using a bloody magnum, I think tactic can easilt be applied

While I respect your opinion to me halo isnt the worst game ever made. Maybe to you it is the worst shot em up game, I though wolfenstein was bad only cause of its graphic giving me headaches, halo didnt do that so to me it isnt the worst ever made.

Using the same weapon and charging at the enemy, spraying an entire clip hoping to kill them then throwing some'nades if they aren't dead it not a 'tactic'. Having squads of multiple troops with different 'weapons' moving in formation towards an enemy 'flag'/'spawn point' taking minimal losses and successfully completing the objective through the use of stealth, espionage, and cover fire in order to help the rest of the squad advance is 'tactics'.

Again, this is based on how well they can control the Controller. Not an actual sign of how good they are with 'tactics'.

Well graphics aren't really my concern. I'll admit to graphics drawing anyone in (i.e. Crysis), but in the end, it's about the gameplay which keeps you attracted to the game.
