Im thinking of start getting some games for the summer.. incase starcraft 2 doesnt come out..

so yea.. heres ones i played last summer have been for few years now.

starcraft -- really great game... no other computer games beats it.

however, now more then ever it is going to lack the amount of players, which might make it boring. becuase ull never get a full house for the game u wanna play..

Warcraft 3 -- another good game,, sucks because it is dominated by dota. players dont play any other fun maps (or thats how it was like 6 moths ago)
Custom maps for this are pretty good because u can code almost anything into the map makers.. only thing it lacks is the amount of players, (ull never get a Full house for old maps)

Combat arms -- good fps.. got boring because it was the same stuff over and over again, the only thing that would make one play this is the new guns..

theres the usual red alert games which suck (all of them), bio shock (it was alright, but i got stuck) ,

Age of empire -- used to be like equivalent to what star craft is for me few years ago.. but now its just boring

steam games suck, maybe not portal.. that was alright



But yea.. thats all ive played so faR> NEED a new list to get and start playing

The RA series si one of the best i've ever played in my entire life,and in turn they took a dump on it with RA3.NOT ALL OF IT IS BAD friend,learn to appreciate what it offers...

u have to admit.. it cant beat Starcraft..
its just the fact that u can have unlimited army size in red alert games that mostly sucks..

Have you tried Civilization 4?

The fact that you can build as much as you can is a promary fun factor and a great strategic win on RA's part!

Try an MMO if you have time. There are tons out there, I Beta'ed DDO, its pretty, but game went south. For me, I am playing WoW, it was just an MMO to fill the gap till the Stargate MMO came out ... but after their funding went to zero ... WoW might be where I stay for a while.

Although Starcraft was pretty good, Warcraft was just SOOOOO much more customizable for Custom Games (which was all I played) that it simply didn't compare in that aspect. Also I think the game itself (normal games..) Warcraft is also better... dunno why though.

Nah, are you kidding? Heroes are what made WC so much better than SC because it added a whole new aspect to the game, it made Custom Games not only that much better because you would have heroes with all those skills, also customizable, but you in a normal type game you had heroes and it added a LOT more strategy to the game.

Given it was 1998 vs 2003... still better though.

THis is my view towards wc3 and sc..

if u wanna do stander 1v1, 2v2 games, go starcraft, its much simpler and tests skills. sc isnt good for its ums, but i do like diplomacy maps

if u wanna do custom maps, wc3 is better of the coding.. risk devo and dota

i dont like heros and spells, adds to more hero micro rather then actual units.. but a pro can do both im sure..

Ya I like the Starcraft storyline better too, I still think Warcraft is better for both, but I am good at Micro'ing heroes and troops, Starcraft I think is easier to because there are no heroes to micro or worry about. It can really go by person to person.
