naq glitch

a friend and i both have relatively similar far lists...

now on the turn change we both go tearing through our lists...

upon comparison we have BOTH got the naq of 2 single players as a result of incerdibly close hits.......

has this ever happened before and whats up with it, is it coz we were too quick for the server to tell between the attacks that one had been succesful and taken off the naq???

then your just lucky. aslong as you cant replicate the bug its not a big bug that needs attention

And if he can, the price of Naq will plummet.. due to everyone hitting each other, for huge naq sums so it gets doubled..

then it should be tested to see if it could be replicated... normally neg naq just happens

have been unable to replicate in 2 succesive turn changes... i think it was luck or you have to hit DAMN close..... like nanoseconds close :P

well worth looking into to see if people can abuse it. it would be hard but i guess if you keep hitting eventually you might get the bug

The thing i see which makes this hard is, chances are, then server has one entry point (internet connection), so basically, they both have to transmit at the SAME time, or have sufficient latency, that the message is delayed, and this fragmented, to cause this

It COULD happen when the server is mid-way through executing a "Deduct Naq" command on the SQL Server. But as other have said, chances are so minute, it's probably not even a game bug, but a SQL bug

we have tryed many times to see if it was replicatable but it seems it was a once off flucke!
o well guess we were lucky this once!
