A warning Issued to Lithium

Since Lithium has been banned for 2 weeks, and he can't post, ive agreed to put his case up here for him. He was warned for spamming in the vendetta thread
viewtopic.php?f=124&t=154430his post consisted of the words
"Looks he cant jump vac for another 24 hrs, but worthless 0 stats"
If you look at this thread you will see that there are many other possibly worse posts regarding spam in this thread than Lithium's therefore he naturally feels that the warning issued was unfair considering it was the only warning issued.

now jack tell me how this is spam ?
lithium seems to be involved in the topic and all he says is:
the guy i'm warrning with can't go on vac for another 24hours and he has no stats ...
that's a very commen statement in a war topic

id like to side with the mods and support you, but in this case im afraid, i can't. The warning issued was over the top and completely unecessary.

Not your call, so really, why bother posting?
Before you ask, I post to counteract your madness. *grin* And because, from where any rational mod is standing, the warning would have been entirely valid had some subordinate not been insubordinate..

There are multiple factors which need to be taken into account when evaluating a warning, though. They can't just be taken on face value.
Example:
What were the circumstances of the thread?
How stringently was it being modded?
Had the mods posted verbal warnings against specific conduct?
Were all posts of a similar nature being modded?

your just trolling now.
i am a rational mod, i had nothing to do with this, but i looked at the evidence, (hint:the link ie the thread). I talked to Lithium and Earendil and I looked at the player logs.
The only other background info you might need is that Lithium massed Earendil earlier that day. Its not hard to deduce that something went fishy after that.
Lithium's post as annoying as it may have been to Earendil or Jack, was not spam, he has not broken a single rule, now if you look at a few other posts in that thread you might find that they are offtopic spam, but his post was stating a fact irregardless of how frustrating jack or Earendil found it.
So, if Earendil didn't want that post in the thread, sure it could have been removed, but since Lithium never broke a rule, how can you issue a warning?

another simple procedure is to read the whole post and try to argue your case, or admit you were wrong. Either is fine with me, the result should be the same.
Lithium posted a relevant post in a war thread, whether you like it or not thats not breaking a rule therefore a warning can't, sorry let me rephrase that, should not be issued according to the rules you have agreed to abide by being a mod.
