I'm curious, who here can understand french?
Understand a basic post/text in french, and/or people speaking it. Or even use it.

No, I'm not looking for silly comments like "is it a language?", or anything of that sort.

I thought of doing that, but I felt there would be too much options with too few votes if it was precise levels.
My poll was general about it:
Average level to perfect.

Small level (small vocabulary and small practice but can do simple sentances)

Microscopic level (just few words, not more than 40-50 words)

No knowledge at all

i failed french but i prefere german

Je ne Cest Pas (Or Sumn like that)

did it back in high school, but have never needed to use it in RL.. so pretty much forgotten the little I did learn

You dont something i dont know what garve means yets but ce is i think the ans est i think is is.

I forgot to say when you out nes pas in around a verb it makes it like not kinda thats what ive learned about a month ago

I took it in high school and I only remember how to count to ten and how to say I surrender.

I used to have quite a large french vocabulary and knew how to somewhat sufficiently speak it. I can't anymore because of not practicing it very much. However, if given a paragraph in french, I could probably decifer it, it'd just take me a bit of time and some thinking

studied it for many many years. Should be fluent.. but i'm not really.

I also studied German, Russian, Ancient Greek and now I am trying Latin. I won't lie though.. languages are not my forte and I actually get worse in order I have listed from french down lol..

But yeah like many, took it in high school, know a few lines n thats about it..

I had french in school for several years ... so I understand and can speak quite a bit. Writing it is harder as I'm bad at (french) orthography, especially with all these ´ ` ^ thingys
