Was wondering if there's a mobile version of gatewars wich would be picture free and faster to download?
I'v noticed a increasing download times on gatewars pages. For some reason it seems to need about 5-10 times more data to open a page compared to few years ago.

I remember about two years ago playing GW's on an MDA Vario that used a simple version of IE. I remember it slugging along with the images. I turned them all off, but was still able to select the 'empty' image that contained the log in code and make the phone load that one individually. Similar to right clicking a broken image on a PC and pressing 'show image'. That worked. The rest of it was quite straight forward as I knew where everything was.
Probably unhelpful. But meh, nostalgia about my old Vario kicked in
