Okay, there may be a thread somewhere on this, but I didn't really have the time to look through all of them.

Anyways, I was going on a Raid Spree this afternoon and I was just thinking, that maybe in the Battlefield looking through the player rankings there should be an option to show Ranking by Army Size. I think it would be pretty cool to see that. I know that it would be hard with the covert and what not.

What do you all think?

Just happened to think about it today.
could be a good idea to be able to sort ranking by army size, by covert/AC action, MS action, defence action, attack action. it can be made so raw stats won't be seen.
it would sure make raiding ALOT easier.

Not just raiding, but I think it will add a new competitive edge to Gate Wars.

So basically no need for covert? Just sort through the list till you find the person you want, and you can estimate each of their stats, WITHOUT spying...

Also, how would it make raiding easier? Obviously anyone above 200m is probably active... Buy beyond that, i don't see how. You can raid 1m from like a 30m account, or 100k from a 200m account

This has been brought up before and basically canned. If you want to make raiding easier, declare war and make yourself a raiding list. Sorting on army size may help but will also make yet another reason for random massing - I massed you because you were above me and I watn the biggest army.

I see very little point to this ranking and ESPECIALLY the others as suggested, except to say 'I am lazy'.

now, as for random massing: tell me something, if you're ranked 2nd, wouldn't you mass the one ranked 1st given the opportunity?
i would in a heartbeat.
not to mention that you don't need a reason for random massing, hence the adjective "random".

the comment about helping raiding was a sidenote. i think theres a place for this regardless.

and no, it wouldn't replace covert, since you couldn't tell much, only estimate, which you can do as it is for some of the stats.
on second thought, i can see the problem with ranking the stats, especielly for those lower than you. but army size, which is in plain view? i don't see any reason not to (and dare i say, most games out there have more than one option to rank).

You forget. The ranking would by-pass if you could see their army size or not. It's not in plain view, if you have less then 20% of their covert power. But putting this in, if the person above or below them has low enough covert, you WOULD be able to see that which your spys can not.

Also, believe it or not, MOST army sizes are based on like 60+% on miners. And you can't kill miners. So massing someone larger then you, if they have nothing but miners, would leave you in the same position you were in to start with

Except for one pissed-off player... LOL

And no thanks to additional rankings... too much abuse-able (sp?)
