An open letter

Hello, my name is Dave.

Some of you know me, others not, and this is a post basically venting my frustration since Friday night. The significance of Friday night? Twas on that fateful eve (or early morning) when the server went down, I had logged out and tried to log back in.

Alas I was denied, so the process was repeated numerous times with great care. Revelation had it that there were others who suffered the same unnerving and baffling fate as I, and a brief vacation mode was all that had to be done.

An email response from my darling Admin Sue, I was informed that I could retrieve my password from via email. Oh if only it were so easy...

The email used for my account became defunct several weeks ago due to an update to this cloudy server hype that is taking the world by storm. Oh, I made a funny. But I digress. Recieving one email per day from Sue it is a slow process to regaining my beloved account, yet it has taken multiple attempts at spelling out the simple problem.

At this point in time I have again stated the issue in a reply, stressing key points "THE EMAIL DOES NOT WORK ANY MORE". I pondered some thoughts: "Do these admins REALLY read the emails properly or do they just skim", and "Comprehension is not difficult, is English their first language?".

So to you all, I urge you to keep your email up to date because it will take a week for admin to catch on.

Any admins who can help, the issue is: I NEED MY EMAIL CHANGED. It's not even a big change, it just requires adding 'mail' into the current address.

Thanks for reading, I am going to bed now. I bid you all a good day.

Dave

seeing as this is an open letter....

ill start off by saying i hope you get it sorted. then ill say just go to admin meet and speak direct to admins much quicker than emails. then ill finish off with saying it is technically your own fault you are in this mess because you said your email account became defunct several weeks ago yet you did no attempt to change the email address on your account. Why was this moved? It wasn't for the admin it was for all the community.

Oh well.

True twas my own fault for not updating it, however Murphys law struck me down: Just when i actually DO, for the first time in years, need to recover the password, I cannot ](*,)
And the admins cannot read or comprehend the fact. If they could read my emails properly (and yes they were shorter than the letter :-D ) I'd have my account back now.

Let us all learn from this: try and avoid having to deal with admin, it is a much simpler time :-D

The actual intention of the letter seems lost on Diamond Dust however . . .

attacking the admin in the "for admin" section is not a bright idea

_willie_ has a point. Be warned.

If it was moved, this is the appropriate section, as this is the one dedicated to account issues.

If you can't be bothered waiting, and you can't be bothered attending the admin meets. Then why should they be bothered helping :?
