Balance Issues

Ok, so admin is around, fixing the bugs laid out in the bug topic.
What things do we need/want altered to make the game fairer. While we have a chance to ask...
Examples...
Lower the gap between those who hit the farmfest and those who didn't.
(not one I completely think is necessary, but willb e better all round to increase competition)
Admin as said he will do this somehow.. any1 have any idea as to how?

Id like the defence techs changed, so that the 50,000 bonus is added after the %increase from the tech. Would lower the defence on inactives to a reasonable level.
Eg,
At 250 def techs
With the % added: 43,750,000
Without the %: 12,500,000
Later on.. at say 2000 techs
With the % added: 2,100,000,000
Without the %: 100,000,000
No new accounts will be able to farm unless inactive defences are lowered. This seems like a reasonable way.

Id also like to see
Motherships make a return
Military Experiance return, ranked would be cool, but not ranked works as well
Id also like to see some system of appointing Glory to alliances. Similar to the way our glory works.. maybe
100points per day for top alliance
50points per day for 2nd
10points for 3rd
But thats probably going too far xP
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Or any ideas of your own for the era?

I liked everything you said. but couldn't we just give everyone a little naq boost right now...that would give active enough to start farming and the little amount thats needed won't really do any of us, that are now farming, any right good.
He could also give everyone a little UP boost as well...but I think that would have to be done on an account by accout basis. So that my not work...but it would be nice.
I like the idea of MS coming back if it were to happen.
Alliance glory is also a idea.

Oo alliance glory sounds like alot of fun!
There would have to be a hefty bonus for winning at the end though

I also agree with everything else you said!

Excellent!! agree with every word S1eepy, and i would also love to see the alliance glory!!
on the matter of helping those who missed out on the farm fest, how about putting XXX amount of NAQ into everyone's bank to help them at least purchase a few of the better attack weaps to get them going... that to me seems to be the biggest problem faced by quite a few of the accounts out there at the moment...
TIP: *if you are a little short on NAQ and have at least a "few" attack weaps, try looking at the "Newer" accounts ID:28170+, look for the accounts with smaller army sizes and HIT THEM

I like the Idea of the Glory for the alliances.
as for the others mentioned im in agreement with all the points laid out by Sleepy

On the alliance glory...
I think it might work if you had the Alliance G&R be an average of its members G&R.
And give a % bonus for how the alliance finishes.
EXAMPLE.
1st: +15%
2nd: +12%
3rd: +9%
4th: +6%
5th: +3%

it's not just inactives that can have problems with farming inactives
LOL cause if you don't have anything banked!
you can't buy weapons
or
if your weapons get massed ( which takes 8 hits) btw
you can't rebuild, and letter it may get alot worse as the inactive farms will be greater and therefore you will be need to be able to get naq to buy the weapons to farm them, it's an interesting twist atleast.

The battles will be updated so that no damage is done to the strike or defence unless the defence is broken
if techs are changed as I suggested, you would only need a few weapons to farm inactives at any time in the era(2or3)
AND admin said he was changing some basics about new accounts to make or fairer for them.
As for getting massed.. After a week or two, most peoples income will be enough to buy at least 1 weapon / turn. So it wouldn't take too long to build a strike, even if you are foolish enough to completely drain your bank.

Ok I understand that there are many issues atm and im personally piZZed that I coldnt farm at the fest but then im above all that, but what of the lower players that cant farm, or even the ppl that have an interest in the game and register? they also ar governed by the same rule and therefore
will not be able to farm, this will only demoralize the game itself and lower interest in the game as a whole!
we need to have a sit down with Jason and really hammer this out otherwise the game will just be for those that have been playing from the start and make donations (I qualify on both)
In reality im suggesting that we try find a happy medium for those that are currently playing those that wish to join.

I think admin is in the process of doing the fixes..
But unfortunately had been delayed due to the fact that he doesn't work weekends.
I'm expecting/hoping to see changes by end of Monday his time.

I believe that unless there are drastic changes this wave or within the next that there wont be a Quantum era, the changes in the inactives having a def will remove the possibility of multi's or least make it harder for those that cheat, but then it also raises the issue of new players, we need to find some happy solution to this.
