Question about the roleplay section

Firstly, if this is the wrong section please can a mod move it, I wasn't sure if I should put it in general or in the forum issues area, as its not really an issue I went with general.
I looked briefly at the roleplaying area on these forums, and forgive me if i'm wrong, but it doesn't appear to actually have anything to do with GW at all. Shouldn't the roleplaying on the forums be related to our game somehow, even if it was based on the old races? With locations and stories based in a universe of solar systems, planets, motherships, F302 squadrons and major alliance factions that players can put themselves into? Or am I missing the purpose of roleplaying entirely?

you can start recruiting for one like that if you like nothingis stopping you.
I would start one if you would like give me a few days to get the background and story and we can have one and i think Z would be glad to help.

to answer your question... yes and no... (both correct)
right now, only non-stargate RPs are around, but we're fully intent upon changing that...
from the very start of the RP section, we had hoped to get a stargate RP running... but its not easy to design...
one very much stargate-themed is currently in the early planning stages, as well as a couple of semi-dead plans laying around... if anyone are interested in helping out with the planning... please contact us and/or Semper...
the one currently planned, will start out very simple, then evolve into something that is in no way simple... (if it catches on)
we would very much accept help with designing it, as would semper, we believe... (both can grant access to the planning section...)

Actually this game isnt even based around SG1 anymore, and the RP section was born in another theme. Any theme can be carried out there tho. I never watched SG1 so any RP concerning it I am lost to. I created a character and a story for the present "era" in the RP section because that what I love personally. Swords and sorcery, stone and arrow, dragons and nimphs. Thats my style of RP. That reminds me, I need to get that turned in
