British MP's expenses scandal.

so, if any of us done what these criminals have done and then spin some crap to justify it and get away with theft of taxpayers money we would be in court and probably end up in prison.
it makes me sick how much crap we put up with from our so called "representatives", lack of enforcement by the police and totally absent justice system.
what's happened to the British public's unity and backbone?!?! once upon a time these politicians would have had a tough time getting away from the public's own brand of justice and into the courts...never mind keep their jobs!
i want to puke all over this travesty

it's plain stupid they can keep there jobs i don't care if they do pay the money back they have shown they can't be trusted to keep the interests of the people who they are elected to serve if just one of them had been caught the other party would have made a huge fuss but because there all as guilty as each other nothing happens.
they should be the first against the wall when the revolution comes!

Jim, i find it REALLY puzzling that you have nothing to say about the scandal and instead choose to make a remark about some ones comment

Because I expect answers: "it's not only one party doing that", "they are all the same", "they are politicians".

Bear in mind that British members of parliament get paid less than those of the average elected representative in a liberal democracy. It wasn't always this way, but that got changed in the eighties. As part of her thrift drive, Margaret Thatcher declared that all MPs should take a pay cut. They did, but she also reformed the expenses system. MPs were getting paid less, but that was counterbalanced by their ability to claim. That's how the system has been since. If the expenses system is to be majorly reformed, or even removed, then I think MPs should get a pay rise.

pay rise? hmmm...i think that would depend on how much they earn, and if MP's get a pay rise then we the people who earn less than 25k a year should also get a pay rise...seems only fair to me, otherwise i say they dont get a single penny more considering most of those that have been caught in this scandal have more than 1 home.
