I'm curious..what's everyone opinion about the whole serie average (I know some seasons are better than others)?

All episodes after Dakara (Replicator Sam attacks...) were mediocre. All episodes before that, almost exclusively, were very good.

Got to admit seasons 9 and 10 were quite different, but I liked them.
Season 5 and 6 were not as good as other first eight. My favourites are 1-4 and 7-8.

all the seasons have their unique charms...

on general level, we like them all... some episodes weren't favorites, but the seasons were good...

the later seasons were different yes... but that doesnt make them bad... merely... different...

Varied in quality, obviously the best had the original team, the ones with Jonas were not as good, and the ones with Mitchel were very poor. Jack always kept it lighthearted and fun, but Mitchel just made it a bad joke. I got mixed feeling about Vala, she was funny and interesting when she first appeared but when Mitchel joined it was like a Farscape invasion, they even made Farscape references.

I think the series ran to long, new characters never filled the shoes of the ones that left and the writers simply ran out of good story lines.

I, I mean Jack, made the show freakin awesome. When he left it went downhill. But overall it's still far better than most other crap on TV.

I understand entirely where people are comeing from when they talk about it going downhill after season 5. Lets face it, We ALL hate annoying weasley Jonus Quinn.

Obv, 1-5 were amazeing.

That being said, i still think season 6 was a good one. Seven i felt went back to the roots of the series so that was good until the last episode. when hammond leaves.

Season 8 was a homage to Oneillisms, And it was ok.

Season 9 and 10, Sure, NO Hammond, Very little Oneill, and the annoying Vela. But i thought mitchell was a great character, hes never goin to outclass oneill, but they didnt TRY to, and i liked that. They also did well with a few of the more explorey funky old school roots episodes.

All in all, the odd bad decision and character doesnt distract from the fact it is one of the greatest Sci Fi shows Ever. Its on a Par with Star trek, at least on TV success, the films obviously have nothing on them...

But it gets an awesomeness amazeing from me.

Oh come on Bucky, you know I usually agree with your posts but Mitchell a great character ? How can you say such a thing, the scripts and storyline for him were dreadful, all that King Arthur stuff, the Farscape jokes and return to the wormhole Xtreme cheesyness was unforgivable.

I agree Buck, while the last half of the series went downhill, it didn't really get so low as to ruin the rest of it or to make me stop watching. It was still a great show which was why I wanted moar.
