Interesting, I'd have to go for true, but not in the sense that you meet someone and bam that's that, I think the sense of love is a combination of three main factors.

1. Like - Where you enjoy being with the person, it never feels like an effort to see them
2. Lust - Where physical attraction is mutual between both parrties
3. Alike - Where you share common interests, not on all issues but on a fair few topics so that you aren't opposed on every point.

I feel the statement, "Opposites attract" doesn't really count as love.

But it's a difficult feeling to describe, this is of course talking about love in terms of dating and relationships and not family bonds :-k

well, i do believe that it exists, but i don't believe it can be described.
or at least not easily described. its complicated, yet simple.

It's very easy to fall in love with the idea of being love.

The little things do add up but you can't always look at them, if the picture is mostly sunny with a corner showing rain in the distance why say it is a picture of a storm. Hence the reason for the alike part in my post

I do believe in true love, as does my girlfriend now.

Me and my girlfriend were friends on the Gateworld forum. On 31st Oct 09, she asked me if I wanted to have her cell # so we can talk about stargate and everyday life, we both werent looking for someone to have sex with a few times or whatever or looking for a relationship. But we fell in love so fast, just with me calling her and saying hi and talking about things. We are so madly in love with each other, we both cant wait until I get back from Iraq. When I go on leave for 2 weeks, the first week I am spending with her. We talk over the phone so freakkin much that we always go over her minutes(even her rollover minutes). Once I get back to the US and after I go on leave, I am going to move her and her kids in a house or a apartment with me and we are going to be together forever n ever, cause we love each other to death. We have so much in common with each other, we think the same...we even know what the other is about to say. We are going to get married when the time is right for us(which I hope is soon).

I would have to say it exists, however not all of us are successful in finding it. You only get burned so much before you give up. :smt109

I do think that it's very easy to get caught up and be more in love with the fact that someone is into you than you really are with that person.

the biggest question is how could a person know if its love -something that worth fighting for..or its just for -..? cause most of the guys after that ...not after something serious..
