Yeah, I've been absent a while. In the mean time I've been learning programmerey craps. Apparently I'm on a team who's making a visual novel, or something... we're not sure yet o.0 But I get to write shiny code for them. Here's a nice demo of my app so far
For whatever reason it won't let me use flash tags. :/ Oh well, Click it you lazy people.
And, as for Amec's counter... By tonight, I hope to have text outputted onto a configurable translucent text box superimposed on the image, the way visual novels do! Because they do that! Yeah.
Also with Amec's help (hehe), I think I can now take videos more than 10 second load and still be able to upload them... because, with h.264 encoding, and such things, apparently the file size goes down! A lot!
So yeah.

Aaaaaand... here!
I don't have text and GUI stuff working quite yet, so I disabled what I do have... here's the graphicsey crap I've come up with!
Basically exactly what I was after, OpenGL stuff on top of 2d images stacked whichever way I need.

Well I'm afraid all I have tonight is a screenshot... but you can see it's got the box thing where the text goes I'm tweaking the animation of the text appearing... not working yet so no video.
