To who does rules apply?

So, i have been pmed the other day by Earendil due to my sig height, that wasn't really astronomic one...s i have edited it.

Then i had some more attention to forum user's signature area and noticed that there are plenty of users that have huge sig area.
Pmed him about this matter and these users still have loads of sigs and huge sig area. Think that cought my eye is that even mods and GM are breaking rule 3.f:

Rule 3.f. Signatures.

Signatures may not exceed 450 pixels in total height.
This means that you have 450 pixels to fill with pretty much anything (that follows normal forum rules)

It does not matter if you have 10 images or more or if you have 1 image and text etc. as long as the sum of the total height is no larger than 450px.

You can use [Spoiler] tags in your sigs if you want and they won't hold any restrictions as to height because users have to manually click the Spoiler.

The reason behind this setup for the rule, is that all other setups are hard to enforce and can be bypassed easily.

So, to who does these rules really apply?

You've just realised?
Half the mods and even one admin, no pointing names ofc, are basically...**Filtered** and ofc bias.

The rules are for everyone.
PM me and they will be taken care of, provided they are actually breaking the rules.

Earendil has a life outside this forum too, and cannot always respond within the hour to your messages. Not to mention the massive load of messages he receives every day, if something would be overshadowed, there's no foul in there.
Just PM one of the less busy mods, like, if you want, me. :)

Shush dear, that is not contributing. :) Trying to fix this here, there's no real point in having you run around screaming bias.

I already brought this up, and basically nothing got done about it

Out of the list I provided I believe only 1 has changed their sig

2 questions. Who did you send this to, and are you 100% sure that you read the rule correctly, i.e. that those sigs were indeed violating that rule?

to an Admin and a forum mod

I didn't read the rules as such, I got told I had to remove my 2nd sig because my 2 sigs combined breached the rule, I then simply compared my 2 with others and found it to be a hell of a lot smaller!

Some people shouldn't need reporting, they are blatantly over the proposed limit

The rules state that your max height of a signature is 450 pixels.
If you have 10 pics combined that measure to 445 pixels in height, that is allowed. If you have 1 pic that measures to 450+pixels in height, that is breaking that rule.

It is likely that the combination of your first and second sig pushed the height over the limit of 450 pixels. In that case, I believe the request to remove the second signature is perhaps a bit unlucky. A request to remove or resize might have been more clear. :)

So, it's not having 2 sigs that is breaking the rule, but it is having any number (even 1) sigs of which the TOTAL height (all together) is more as 450 pixels.

I hope that clarifies that? (And I suggest you read the rule; J-ronimo quoted it in his post.)

and might I suggest you re-read my post! I know it was the adding together of my 2 sigs that pushed me over the 450 limit (supposedly). what I was trying to point out was even with my 2 sigs combined it still did not take up the total space of other peoples.

@ SuperSaiyan - Nowhere did I say it was you that told me to remove it!

Meh, it doesn't matter anymore. I have just set it back to what i used to have and it is not as high as some forum users have, especially including mods and GM's.

And my PS says it is 374px height when i prnt scrn it and cut it, so i don't know why i was pmed about this matter in 1st place.
