Earendil, how did you come to the conclusion in the quote linked below:

Was this by checking IP's on the forum? Because by your "own" definition that is leaking information.
Whether the accusation of who it is is correct or not is besides the point.
Earendil you claimed that the mod that told me someone's User Notes was empty is "leaking info" which is laughable because the User Notes were "empty".

But by that definition, the above is "leaking" info if you used your Admin power.

Please enlighten us if your power was used?

The user notes are by mods for mod's only. The record's there do not concern any forum user but are made for mod purposes (recording of verbal and official warnigs etc). So yes, this is leaking info and in my book as bad as giving a forum user's IP address away.

So if Earendil used his powers to find a link between those forum accounts IPs then he "leaked" info.

You may think it's laughable but there has been a lot of hypocricy recently when people have done things they've punished others for.

Yes and I've admitted all that. Does that mean others should lower themselves?

So Earendil how did you come to the conclusion of who _Avatar_ is?

The magic word is "If".

User's identies can be found out by other means then a simple IP check.

linking accounts through IP has, as you should know very well, always been ok... giving out the IP address is not ok...

We are not going to go into what method Ëarendil might have used, as it does not matter to us...

But then revealing the identify of the person is ok?

What is the difference between an Admin revealing the true identity of an account via using his powers and a Mod telling someone that someone's User Notes are empty? I think there is no difference.

I await to find out how Earendil came to this conclusion of who it is.

Why do you presume Ëarendil has to answer you?

Because there is a "possibility" that he gained it through use of powers therefore leaking information.

You do understand he is away on vacation for probably the next month and can only be reached if there is an emergancy, right?

If you didn't know, well, now you do.
](*,) Now how would Clarkey know that? Not like they (ed: him and Earendil) are on speaking terms..

Even if you're right, Clarkey, there is still no way to prove this. It's just your word against his.
