Planets giving wrong amount to stats

Alright so I'm not 100% on this as I don't have stat planets to test this with. But here's what I found.
I was massing a guy who had a def of around 50-65bil. he was getting 200bil from planets.
[spoiler]The forces of Bob fought back with all they could, and managed to inflict 226,626,729,911 damage on Thade's forces!
Judging from the troop and army makeup, 194,251,482,781 of that damage came from support planets.
They managed to eradicate 663 of Thade's troops.[/spoiler]
So I figure sure he's got a couple big def planets I'll steal those before massing. So I recon and see he's got 8 planets (I'm guessing 1 or 2 are on Merlin). All I see are a few various planets but not several big def planets. This makes me begin to wonder if it's possible to gain max benefit of having multiple planets of the same type with only 1 of them (which could be kept merlin'ed and PPTed for a long time). So, I did some math. I figure he can get 30bil def/planet and he's getting 200bil off them. This means he'd have to have at least 6 30bil def planets...he doesn't. Thus I am lead to conclude he has 6-7 def planets 1 or 2 of which are extremely large and beneficial. This seems contradictory to the description of planet functionality. Having checked I did not see a report on the bug here yet so I am posting it in the hopes it will be rectified so players can not bloat 1 planet, receive excessive benefits, and then hide it the bloated planet with Merlin.
Edit: Just to test this I increased 1 of my UP planets beyond 1/2 of my raw UP. My total UP increased because not all of my UP planets are maxed out to 1/2 my raw. Hopefully this can be corrected as it gives those who exploit this a rather large tactical advantage during a massing (from either side).
