Ombudsman, please how it is possible that i do not recieve case reports when i report someones post?

Curious is, after 8 reports i did, the topic was completly remade, marged and moved. Few reported users/mods were those who did this changes in topic.

I never recieved a report to my email adress when mod sorted my reports. Why that?

Is there a system error or system abuse? This is not a case about exact people, just a question if we will just let few ppl abuse theyr powers to manipulate topics how they want, after they decide so. Example, like i wrote, reported users/mods changed the status quo of topic, marged and moved it.

So i ask, if you acuse someone of breaking rule sin RL, politicians change law and citizens can do nothing? Well, maybe in not democratic states. Is this forum still mean as neutral or it all belongs to few persons who can change rules like they want?

I do not believe there is a system in place where feedback is given after a post or thread is reported. Moderators mod at their own discretion as you report things with your own. Moderators are given their position for a reason and the report button is an aid to help them mod to the best of their abilities.

If you wish to file a complaint about modding in a thread then do so. I cant help you with just this information you have provided im afraid.

There is no such system in place. If people wish to argue that there should be one then do so. Im sure Moderators would say its unnecessary but some members would say it is interesting and useful to know how mods are modding better.

I dont think I have the jurisdiction to declare mods are biased and abusing their power

Again, this is a wild accusation and i can do nothing unless you show what the problem really is. I would like to help your complaint and will let discussion on it continue. Lets see what other people think eh?

Oh and by the way, thanks for waiting till i got back from holiday to make a complaint

Users receive an automatic pm when a report is closed if they select that option when making the report.

If they have not ticked it, then they get not automated pm.

Deni, i knew you will come to post here, cuse this was about you. I reported your posts, at all around 5 - 7 reports, 0 were answered, 0 were sorted.

In past i receaved automatic PMs, many times Mods PMed m personaly. By all reports i did on your person i receaved 0 answeres. Whys that? Are mods afraid to mod you or are you sorting reports on own person? Is there any rule about this? Can Mods control this?

I do close a lot of reports C2, so it would be helpful if you could point me to the posts you reported or at least tell us when you did report those posts so we can look them up in the mod logs.

If you did not receive an automated pm, then you did not select the "notify me" option when making the report. Either that or Jason/Bazsy deleted the pm's you would have received.

System doesnt send you Private Masasge, but Email.


So the question now is, when we all know that emails are delivering after reports, why i have no answer about all reports i did on Deni's posts? Can Mods tell me what happened with all those reports i did in last 2 months? Cuse i only noticed how the topic was totaly changed, marged and moved, post stayed.

So only reports made regarding my posts are not triggering the automated pm?

Deni, thats perfectly written. Yes, well, no. All reports i have done while reporting you were not delivered, i was reporting Bebita, you and one more person. For spam written in HR RP thread. I did over 10 reports. I didnt ask for answers in first 4 or 5 reports, cuse didnt await it will be ignored. The rest am very sure i asked for answer, filed that field.

Than, came christmas, i was away for 3 weeks and came back and saw that th mentioned topic was changed, moved, marged, and reports i did were ignored. What i reported was before, now its not important if those post will be moded now. But important is, that those reports, when those posts were written, someone ignored and cosed. I didnt even ask for warning, it was just about moving that spam to another "spam topic".

I am affraid that my reports never came to final place, but were cut down in the middle, and cleaned from table. Somehowe changed direction, with someones help.

Maybe Bazsy can check if the "Notify me" option was set to yes. It should be recorded in the database.

If the reports were closed, then they were not ignored. The mod in question simply decided that there is no mod action needed.

Without providing the posts in question or even mentioning the topic they were posted in, I cannot provide you with more details about the mod actions (not) taken.

I do not know what makes you think that it was me deleting the reports?

I have closed many reports in the GC (if we are referring to the GC) but I cannot be sure it was me as I do not know what post was reported?

It could have been any other GM or General mod.

Have you checked the mod logs? If a report is closed or deleted it is recorded in the logs.

the forum emailing system may at times be a bit odd... but we cant say for sure... so that could potentially explain missing emails...

I don't think there is a way for a Mod to make it so a user doesn't receive an e-mail or PM (whichever is supposed to happen) from a report when it's dealt with if they tick the box...
