This thread is about giving some respect, appreciation, thanks and all of that to the ones that have taught us how to play, conduct ourselves, give us a sense of direction or whatever else there may be..perhaps a long time Co or officer..who touched you in a positive way, how and what might you have to say about him or her or them? as it ALL related to this game
PLEASE only post positives and keep the spam to a minimum. I will post mine later on as the thread developes IF it does.
Thanks

Id like to think the following:
~winter soldier~ - first alliance commander first person to show me how to mass
Brother - Fine tuned my warring skills and with the help of Lord Mezzanine made me the player i am today.
SuperSaiyan - Took me into his empire showed me different aspects of the game and in the end taught me leadership, how to work with an alliance and to think into the future of my actions
and most importantly KILLERGREG - My dad my only commander gave me my first 100k units and sent me to take off from there. You are the man and i love you.

Five People.. come to mind two of them were never really teachers but still..yogsters72 - First commander spent four or five months learning under him before I started following around Matt and got eviler and starting causing trouble... left him so I didn't get him in trouble as well. Without him I would never have even made it past the first day or join my first alliance CFE where I learned many things like how to mass, etc.
__l3acl_DaY__ - Second Commander, long time friend from another game, twas his recruitment link that brought me here. Lost to World of Warcraft forever Im afraid..
Mikgamer - Would never have played as long as I did if he didn't play as well known him since 2001, and forced him to play, pretty much quit same time he did.
Fericide/Akhal - Has been my 2nd in command in both Quantum and Main for a very long time, same as Mikgamer, would have quit long time before I did if he wasn't playing still.
Robe - Leader of first alliance I was ever in, CFE. Ironically also leader of last alliance I was in before I went back to my normal playing style and I made my own alliance.
Also shoutouts to The Deity and Santo also long time commanders, several other friends I could mention but I'm the one that taught most of them...
Edit:
Hensenshi was also first person to ever mass me in Main and Quantum (Pissed him off), and then later taught me quite a few tips about not farming certain people and stat building...

I'd like to give my thanks to:
Lore - he always knows what to say and how to act in certain positions. He has always given me strong advice and helped me.
SuperSaiyan - he reminds me (unintentionally) of how this place used to be so light-hearted.

gosh where do i begin:
- wolverine & taranis_nl : game basics and how to ascend
- renegade : raiding
- blackburn : massing, farming, countermassing when being massed
- reborn : acount building
- lillmia & god shornaal : ascended building + massing
- annatar & havenger : descending is a team sport

- rodwolf & orpheus : expanding overal game knowledge
- gunz, tekki, taxo, ETL : alliance and empire management
- lore, robe, buck and manetheren : how to be a good ombudsman
- caprilla & freespirit : teaching me how to use irc (altough i took forever)
i'd like to think that someone always got my back every step i took in this game. and perhaps i should thank alot more ppl for what they tought me as a person so thnx to everyone i have ever talked to for teaching me something more about ppl. even if it was that they can be realy annoying

Great thread, in honor of my 2 best COs
Higgy - Who took the time to teach me as a noob and turn me into a player
Willie - Who turned me from a player into an FS warrior
Many others helped along the way, and respect to them all but these 2 were the biggest influences and need to be named, I have tried my best to pass on the the knowledge and style they taught me to my officers and allies

ohh i have to post here to keep this for the history

great topic idea.
well first i guess the first teacher
JOS first ever commander that taught me all the basics.
farmland, cait/iliaria, justme/atomicbetty - asked them lots of advices.
spas12 - basicly everything i know about ascended he taught me.
and most importent i'd say
shintaro/taron - he taught me the most i believe, and most important what i learned from him was to enjoy the game.
-------
blahh - taught me how to bank, with he's crazy farming lol
wacky/disturbed_one taught me to not be a statbuilder.(take a guess how)
mayhem - taught me to not be attached to my planets lol

sorry if you have not made the list.

Great thread JT

For me,
hands down runaway choice is ETL.
He took me into Omega almost 5 years ago when they were top alliance in the game and I had nothing...zero.( to this day I do not know why)
He guided me ,advised me,and helped build me .I learned from his mastery of the games strategy , and I absorbed all I could. Everything I learned in the game for the first 2 plus years I owe him.
He gave me opportunities in Omega and placed incredible trust in me.The debt I owe him can never be repaid.
I still think he is the greatest player and character the game has ever had.

The main people I can think of is 1horseman and Noobert. Both helped teach me the game while I was a low army size. Without them I would not be where I am today.
