Well in the first their facial expressions are similar so it's funny. In the second their facial expressions are not so it's clearly getting at a something else, the racist comparison of "Black people are Apes."

No but I'm pretty sure black people have been compared to Apes in a derogatory manner much more than white people (if they even have at all). I think they're both funny and don't really care, I'm just sayin..

In any case, racism/racist describes an INVALID theory. It points out concerned people's opinions, but their opinion (different races, with superior and inferior ones among humans), is invalid.
Some countries have a bad tendency to overuse said word (races)...and on the other hand play the affirmative action and all this silly stuff of "positive" discrimination >_< ("positive" discrimination is crap as much as "negative" one, as who is to tell when it's positive and when it's negative heh? ;) ).

But the political correctness gets too far sometimes, and because of that, it's getting hard to differenciate between "racism" and just humour regarding the two pictures (and moreover every other similar things).

To give you a controversial example...
Just think of five black actors/actresses, you will notice they are dfferent to each others, same for white actors/actresses, most of time different to each others.
Real twins could count as a "race", being quite similar, like animals are within same race. Otherwise, it's not valid argument to bring idea of different races within humanity...

pops... you should educate yourself before making any statements.
an example:

though the above is not really on topic here. i was about how the same thing causes different responses in certain ppl. like isn't judging the bush's pic as just funny and the obama image as racist a rasism? 'cos what's the difference between bush and obama here? just race.

I'm already educated thank you very much. I don't need to look at internet links to get myself knowledge. :)
Everything and its contrary can be proven by "scientist studies" to justify this or that. Because oh strange...it's american research, so of course, they would try to justify their theory of different races uh.

In the end, I keep my stance, as if I was to listen to *every* "scientist research" I would believe everything and its contrary. ;)
And that, isn't fun at all.. :-k
