hey duality of justice, i'm talking to you big boys

now don't get me all wrong, i'm all for 'justice.' as abstract concepts go, its one of my faves. but of course the difficulty in defining such an abstraction is the multitude of individual understandings of justice as a result of varying perspectives and context.
is justice merely upholding a set of laws, if so, which laws and what ensures they are just? or perhaps justice goes beyond that to uphold a system of morality and ethics, if so, which of the conflicting codes of morality held by mankind are valid and hence should be held as just?

but i should leave the philosophy to the members of 'duality of justice' to wrestle with, as they do on a daily basis in their noble attempt to make sense of a small but vital part of human affairs.

yet whatever your conception of justice, recent happenings carried out by the very alliance i recently praised can be termed as unjust. my dear friend and mentor asgaria was massed once, massed twice then MASSED AGAIN by duality of justice. but why? why treat poor stane so poorly in his autumn years, and please explain why lest asgaria take his alliance to the brink of war itself!

P.S. i'm speaking for asgaria (leader -PU) since he doesn't have an account and since his english is poor, and we've noticed that people who don't have english as their native tongue tend to be mocked online.

P.P.S i get the justice part, but what does duality mean in that context?

what does justice mean to me?
it means an awesome band that i love and said the name of and people went "thats a good name for an alliance".

We havnt been able to instigate a set principle for the Justice part of our name.
Duality is the name of a sg1 episode that vixion called out and we said "hey that would make a cool alliance name!"
as far as duality is concerned it means the policeman and the executioner

Well i think I'm capable of setting this straight. Justice, in a game like SGW is twisted, since the idea of the game is to kill people (units) :-s However, our intended goal was too sit back nice and easy, if trouble came we'd handle it then move on. Simple. But things don't always go as planned. In DoJ we have people who love to build, I'm talking 50t+ defs (I'll never let that go Vecna!), massive Unit productions, people who focus on planets. Then we have people who love to war, people who are here for one thing and one thing only, to mass mass mass *looks at Kaz and CC*. So a key part of the duality is the members. Now me and Koji have the impossible task of trying to keep every one happy. Now we thought about trying to have a constant flow of 'friendly wars', idea was one after the other 4,5 and 6 man teams volunteer for a week long fun war. The builders get to build and the warrers get to war. That lasted... 10minutes, give or take

We had 6 places for warrers and 6,000 who wanted to war. Then we'd have 6,000 places and only 2 volunteers. So then we changed our incoming attack policy to try and make people happy. We changed it too a hit = warning, 2 hits, last warning, 3rd hit mass. Now once again the word duality crops up here. Some of DoJ will give the 2 warnings and wait for the 3rd too mass. Some will see one and mass *stares at CC AGAIN*. Cut a long, well short, story shorter we ended up at war with Nemesis Core. Now we're massing them and its all going magically :D

You friend -should- of had a warning first, unless it was multiple hits. Also, my guys should of massed once then moved on, apologies if he was hit numerous times. Remember DoJ is still very new in SGW. It will take us some time to find our own place.

Perhaps he is looking for an alliance "mission statement" to justify for actions taken, and to eliminate ambiguous interpretation of your alliance name.

Explaining your internal attack policy does not serve "justice" in this case, and is certainly not the answer he is looking for.

I think you guys should review your alliance goals and come up with a mission statement, motto, or defined style of play.

When I asked what your allaince was all about, I never really got a straight answer. And I asked several people. Just my 2 cents.
