Anti Covert modification

I know its only been a short while since we found out the full effects of Assassins (anti-covert personnel) but i think they shouldnt go into battle. I think, like regular covert agents they should go alone and their success not be dependant upon an enemy's defensive action.

I say this because, on a certain person i attacked i had trained up 100k Assassins, in the attack, i lost 3k assassins (3%) and killed only 50 or so enemy spies. Not that the enemy's losses bother me, i think its good, my losses bother me!

Why not make anti covert units go on 'hunt covert unit' missions, and make this a covert thing using covert turns so essentially a new additional option.

Opinions please?

ya i think they should go alone like most of the time i am only attack for there cash i dont really want to kill the spys i would rather keep them for the guys i dont like rather than non active an loseing some.

I really like this idea because as a Tauri (I'm talking about Quantum here cus on main I am recently ascended and haven't noticed the effect as much), I do a lot of farming, including people with crap all covert that I don't want to send my anti-coverts on. This could become especially useless or even problematic when raiding a nearly dead account with no covert but with a bit of defence. I have been hitting people, I have 1000 Supers and lose like 8, but I lose 30 anti coverts, and still don't do a thing to their spy level. Right now the only reason I haven't untrained all my anticoverts is because I like my covert rank nice and high, but I would really love either another attack option in which instead of taking naq you destroy spies (perhaps a much higher rate the you do in attacks now because you aren't getting anything from the attack but that) in a similar way as you do now, or make it a covert stike similar to sabbing people or even make an option "dont send anticovert operatives on this attack" or something like a checkbox so I can cut my losses.

a simpler solution woud be to have a option ware u decide if those agents go whit the attack or not.....like wen u are in ppt and try to attack....:)

... or you could just untrain your anti covert guys

i have the same problem and untraining them is a big waste of naq, i think you should be able to choose whether or not to send them, like a check box on the attack page, or on the command centre (this would be best i think.)

This is one of the more sensible ideas we've had recently - Definately worth looking at in more detail!!

yay, sensible ideas.
i like anti covert, but i dont think they should be sent unless required (for aggressive damage, albeit small).
a tick box for sending anti coverts on the mission is a good idea.

untraining them is a waste of naq, even if i have already untrained half of them cause losses were getting outta hand.

I like the suggestion to not send Anti's when you attack, but i don't think having Anti-covert missions completely seperate from attacks is a good thing, it SHOULD be painful to kill enemy spys if they have a good defense, we just need an option so we don't send anti's when we only want to farm for naq.

As it stands it isn't really worth having anti's just hanging around as they soon get massacred in the process of farming, i had to untrain all my anti's on quantum when the change got applied coz loosing guys every attack is more crippling there as the over-all army sizes are much lower than in main.

Arrggghhh - I forgot about this and just lost over 800 anti-covert agents - when I was attacking for naq!

This suggestion needs to be implemented ASAP!

So... what you guys are really guning for here is tickboxes that you can check/uncheck to determine whether, in your current attack, you send your Mothership, your Anti-Covert Units and so on?
