Memento

I rather ashamedly have to admit I watched this film purely because Adam, an old sgw player, changed his name to Memento years ago, and was curious why.
It is an amazing film...it takes you on a ride, drip feeding you bits of information as it goes along. The basic premise is that the lead character has the reverse of amnesia: he remembers everything that happened to him in the past, but cannot form new long term memories. This is a character-driven film with a great plot, and the way the story unfolds makes you empathise with the lead role: you truly don't find out what is going on until the curtain drops.
One of my favourite films

I'd have to agree, one of my.. if not my favorite film. The ending had me thinking for a few days, trying to play it backwards.. forwards in my head.

Another great movie, but not one you can watch again or after spoilers, its the twists and original plot that make it great.

I think he meant he bought it in a boxset with Fightclub and had never watched Memento (but presumably did watch Fightclub).....either that or it was one waste of a boxset
But I agree, the power of the film is in not knowing what happens, so spoilers really would ruin it. Although Mez I'd recommend re-watching it sometime....I always like watching things again when I know what is going to happen in the end - to see how the director built up to moments or led false trails....
No worries BW.....hopefully you'll enjoy it

The first rule of Fight Club is never to mention how inherently homoerotic it is.
The second rule is no girls.
