I seem to be in a film review mode, so here's another gem.

I'll admit, I'm not a big fan of Robin Williams, and when I saw that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon not only star, but also co-wrote it, I'll admit I nearly turned over. But I'm glad I didn't.

This film really "spoke" to me in ways few films do. It explores why we do what we do: the choices we make and how they define us. I think most people will have gone through something similar to Damon's character; perhaps not to the extremes he does, but certainly experiencing the insecurities, the self-doubts.

Its ultimate message is essentially to put oneself out there. It certainly deserves the many Oscar nods it got, and I'd recommend anyone to watch it....especially if you're a person who likes to live safely within your own bubble.
You can read all you want about love, and you can read all you want about Paris: but you will never understand what it is like to walk hand-in-hand with the woman you love outside Notre Dame unless you experience it for yourself.
im glad someone else found this film worthy of all the acclaim it has received...i am very proud of Damon's performance if Affleck was a little simple, it was also a good performance, despite his obvious adherence to the pretty boy roles now a days... Damon truly proved his worth in this movie giving you every range of emotion and body language prevalent in every day life

the scene in the student bar where Damon humiliates the history student...priceless

amazing movie and i also think alot of people underestimate damon, one of the greatest actors of our time, although he has played some questionable roles.
