Forum loading times... severely lagging as of late

Anyone else noticing some severe lag when loading the forums lately. Most of the occurances take place when I reply to a message or make a post. It will literally hang for a few minutes before finally submitting. One time I even made a reply, waited a few minutes, and backed out to try to browse the forum. A few times I've received the "too many connections" error, as well.

There has been a lot recently yes
Normally a load around 5-6pm GMT

Yeah, I'm getting loads of lagging on the forums....when trying to post, or sometimes just re-opening the forums. Can be lagging for minutes if I don't refresh it....

I've also encountered this. Sometimes I get an error message suggesting I notify an administrator. Then I just leave it and try again in a few minutes. Though sometimes it just takes a very very long time to load.

it is during the backup hours, yes...
1700-1830 GMT+1(CET)
not much that can be done about it...

So is the backup occurring now? I just had a 2-minute wait to create a thread in the AT market.

The forum is lagging not only during the backup.
Sometimes when you reply to a post and hit the submit button, it keeps loading for minutes.
I think that's what RepliMagni and Max are referring to.

You mean like right as you posted that? I believe there is a backup made or synced every day at a certain time.

Yes... when I posted.
Seems like they're doing backups twice a day or something...
