Updates:Mercenary Salary
Weapon Upkeep
Mercenary Salary: You don't buy mercs they have a salery ...
1 merc as X amount of salery ... so more mercs more income drain ... merc tech can still be ... because a general can not control all the merc . Every time you hire merc it calculates if you can afford it, and when hired system checks if you still can afford it or merc auto flee.
MERC SALARY = X Amount of Merc * Salary
INCOME = INCOME - MERC SALARY
Weapon Upkeep: What can i say every weapon in real life must be upkeeped and that costs .
Each type off weapon has its upkeep cost ... and that cost is multiplyed with amount of weapons in possesion. If you can not afford upkeep when buying then you can not buy weapon. When you have certain amount of weapons and loose income and you can not afford it weapons are rusty and not for use
Why?- Game more interested
- More tectics
- Allowing smaller players to join the big guys
- 5 glory range more interesting

what would happen if ur a noob and u like erm go and buy 1mil weps at 1mil army and ur income is like 200mil adn your wep upkeep goes into Negitave ?
Autoban woudl kick in and u would see a whole load of little noobs wondering whats going on adn leaving the game thus Destroying the game.

Actually the idea is not bad.
I would make a better dynamic to the game so i say YES.

Lol the game would stop you from buying more than your income can hold if this was added else it would be a stupid move to add but then again admin could add alovance of minus so people could have something big shortly if they have the money in the bank to take it.
Plus you can have negative naq without getting Autobanned so yeh i don't see a problem.
But i do find it not a bad idea.

seriously if you are new to the game and you go into neg and possibly get autobanne dlike everyone does they wouldn't know were to look to find answers (they wouldn't know aobut 'forum"e-mail" none of that) and they are the ones that are the future to this game with all the old player leaving and new players comming in every few years

M8 as the game is now is killing it.
The fact is turns are way to many and taking down someone is way to easy.
Thats why the serverwar happen twice and lasted 1 year first time and 2 years second time.
Thats why you see alliances like OE, DDE, Ricos, TLE, EPA, TAF and so on be in like 20 wars at the same time because they can and the turns are so many its way to easy.
Adding this wouldn't stop it but it would maybe make them think a little more before waring not much but anything help.
And actually it would also make it more fun.
And a Noob training to much kinda deserve to learn the hard way of making a mistake that stupid lol.

As in, get banned, have no idea why, and never return to the game, awesome idea...
Have a weapon maintinance, but have it like 0.01naq/weapon or something so tiny, you can hold a decent defence and attack and NOT have negative naq

I am a web developer and php developer ... i think upkeep can not go into minus because you can buy so many weapons as much you have income ....
if you can not afford upeek you can not buy weapon

i think it's a good idea
ur guy's main focus seams to be about auto ban, well how about if u can't afford the upkeep ur weapons start getting dammaged little by little every turn till they get destroyed, and amount of damage ur weapons take depends on how short u are in naq, the more naq u lack the more damage ur weapons take.
and i say that u can't use banked naq for weapon upkeep since nothing else in the game really runs from the bank, u can't accept brokers with banked naq, can't buy anything with banked naq like mercs or weapons, can't repair weapons, and can't train units, or build ur ms or planets, so if u are short on income i say that u can use the naq out in the open for weapon/merc upkeep, but not banked naq
i also like idea since it will make 5 glory range more interesting

I'm oh-so-glad your logic is infallable without adding a safeguard in your equations, nor compensating for me training 100m miners, getting as many mercs and weapons as possible, and THEN untraining my miners, thus having a negative income.

okay, so to develop this idea further...
what happens when you need a chunk of miners a week later, and your income drops? let's say aid to an officer or an alliance mate, cuz they got massed, and you didn't?

Exactly, thankyou for realising that...
IMO, if you wanted to FIX this idea, then make it such that the mercs are the first to "quit" without being "paid", THEN weapons start taking damage after a period of time, if your income is still below 0
