Yup, friend of mine also said he couldn't sign up either via my commander link or via the register page, i sent him URL's for thegatewars and stargatewars, neither worked.

ALOT of bugs on the game these days... first 1 untrainable UU and covert trouble, now this. I do hope Forum can fix it... all the best luck!

yeah i hope this gets fixed asap, i know forum is working very hard on eliminating all the problems but this is a pretty vital function that's gone awol >_<

I have had the same problem. Only I have a game account. I fixed the error by doing one simple thing! Restarting my computer! 
After that I was able to log on w/o any error popping up. Try it your self.

That's not really the same thing at all though is it...you have an account, these people who are trying to register don't

I'm not posting this reply to make you mad, so please don't take it that way. When my brother started a account the same error appeared. 
Yes, I was shocked. 
We restarted the computer 
he was regestering at and presto he was able to regester. If this does not work for you I am sorry, but it has worked for me and my friends. Good luck to you and your friend.

About two and a half to three weeks ago. We had no problems after the restart of the computer.
