I just watched the first episode in the mini-series about the Pacific from HBO.
Those of you who do not know, this is the mini-series revolving around the Marine Core's fight against the Japanese. Band of Brother style.
Do not click this as it is a spoiler to a part in the movie unless you really want to know it or comment on it.
[spoiler]I hated to even watch the part after the Japanese Bonzai where the Marines were toying with the man telling them to just kill him. To get it over with. It was beyond inhumaine.. I could never stand to see such a stupid act committed by the Marine's or anyone for that matter.[/spoiler]

I believe it will be on par of epic, and jaw dropping as Band of Brothers but will be better.
Why? More intense isolated fighting was done there.

I do not know 100%, but no need to wait for it to be released in the UK.
Just download the episodes via thepiratebay, and you are good to go. Nothing will change from downloading it, except, you won't have to wait as long.

Just watched episodes 1 & 2
Very good action stuff, jungle fighting scenes like Platoon with the CGI enhancements of Saving Private Ryan but lacking any big personalities. Most movies & mini-series build up the characters in the first chapters, in this most the characters got killed before you even knew them, and the ones who survived the 1st 2 episodes you still dont know much about.
At least they already made the whole series so we know HBO wont do their usually trick of canceling it just when it gets going.
