While this is Chicago's best and maybe last year for 5 or so, Vancouver is a better team as is Detroit (biased i know).

While Chicago has the likes of Sharp, Toews, Keith and Hossa, I have to doubt their playoff exp. Hossa chokes in the playoffs, so count him out and huet is having a subpar season, as he usually does imo.

San Jose has Nabokov who is having another decent year, not superstar, but great. They also have Thorton, Heatley, Marleau on the front lines to provide some goal assurance.

Now we'll go to Vancouver, They have their whiny ass goalie Luongo, who may not be at the top this year, can be counted on. You have Henrik Sedin, Burrows and Samuelsson there for goal support while they have a solid def to back up Luongo.

As for detroit, yes I have to. Howard is having an amazing year, yes he's untested in some waters but he does have playoff exp. A lot of their current stats are down due to some key players and playmakers being gone due to injuries for a while BUT you have Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Fronzen and Holmstrom on the front lines, with Datsyuk leading the league by over 30 takeaways with well over 100. And you have Rafalski, one of the Olympics MVP's and Lindstom, arguably one of, if not the best defensemen for the last 6/7 years, and having another stong year this year.
I'd go on about the other teams but why bother atm.

As for Washington going to the finals, they might, probably will, but watch for them to slip up I think ;)

You forgot about Seabroke and if cambel comes back , also versteeg and there other younge gritty forwards , also Neimi or what ever his name is will most likely be the starter for chi town not huet ;)

As for Vancouver when has this team not chocked in the play offs :-k The Sedins are haveing amazing years yes , but allot of there forwards are injured right now and might not be 100% when the play offs come rolling around also there def is ok but not great they have never had great defense just ok or good , Luongo will get peppered in the play offs just like last year against chicago and fail again couse he cant handle that kind of heat ;)

Detroit has experience and all there players are comeing back and the team is playing verry good but they just arent the same team they usually are and there goaltending is sub par at best like washingtons but they dont have the fire power washington does

San Jose past few years have been a great regular season team verry poor playoff team as soon as the presure is on they seem to crack and crack hard , the addition to Heatley probably wont be the answer look at his past play off experiences as soon as the spot light was on him he crashed and burned hard

Pheonix and LA these 2 teams might suprise every one they have nothing to lose they where not even supposed to be where they are right now , Comeing in as the Under dog and those Kinds of teams come play offs are the ones you gotta watch , think back a few years ago to Edmonton, Calgary, Carolina winning the cup, Tampa bay winnning the cup. These teams play hard every night and leave nothing on the table

Now to the east

We have the Caps they have 2 years of play off experience and heart break behind them now , they have know where to go but up. I feel they have learnt from last years defeat and will be hungryer then ever i wouldnt want to be any other team in the east come play off time

New jersy, now this team is ify will brodeur be the Brodeur of five years ago or the one from last years and the year before play offs only time will tell , if they get kovy and parise fireing and old Brodeur i think we could have a Caps vs Devils east final whitch would be amazing

Pens , there teams in trouble withought Malkin they well Suck there goalie had a fluke run last year and it wont happen again , Also withought Gonchar on the back there deff is AHL material really lol so they might be upset in the first round

No other team in the east is really worth anything unless Miller pulls some Crazzy stuff out like in The Olympics then we could see Buffalo atleast make it past the first round then bow out to either The caps or the devils

Earendil wrote:Detroit's goal tending is subpar? lol Howard has a save percentage of .924, rnaked 4th in the league and has a goals against average of 2.30, ranked 6th. The majority of the games the wings have lost have been due to a lack of scoring, which they have fixed.

He is good and younge and in a few years will probably be great but he is no Nabokov, or Luongo, or Miller , Brodeur , Kipper, or even Bryzgalov this year

Howard is either on Fire or he gets pulled  lets hope he stays on fire for atleast 16 games in a row 8-[

Also interesting stat 16-13-8 thats detroits home and away so they lose more then they win away and they wont have home ice advantage
