With the whole, Planet reliance thing people seem to have going on (Wereby someone can effectively mass you or an entire alliance takeing little casulties themselves) ive been trying to think of a fair way to counter this without the removeal of planets completely, as i know some people have worked hard on there planets and have spent $$$ on them, etc.

The idea is simple, Merline shifts your planets to anouther dimension, therefor, when they are merlin'd, your planets cannot aid you.

So if you wanna mass without losses, you have to take the risk of haveing your planets out. That would i feel, in the long term, fix the whole uneven thing whereby as i mentioned, you can mass an entire alliance with little losses yourself. I think it would bring back more risk to the game, and in conjuction with the recent turn price increase , make wars once again, difficult, and perhaps make people a little bit more scared of doing it, if you have to have your precious planets on display.

excellent, though:
people could easily time ppt and merlins on attack planets to let them mass, similarly to what many gorillas do with motherships.
however thay could not do the same with defence planets as most massings occur while the victim is offline, so we would see a decrease in defence planets, making it just as easy, if not easier to mass someone?

though i do see the pluses in your plan.. nice idea, we'll see if anyone can develop it

Indeed, but that would require extra strategy, so an added extra to warfare?

I see what you mean by the defence planets bit, as well as other planets, but on the whole planet note, they were never meant to be relied upon, just to add a bonus, the fact they are heavily depended on now is what makes it so much easier to do alot , such as get massive UP's , Mass, etc. Makeing them a side aspect of the game as apposed to a main aspect would make your core resources (UU and Naq) more important in warfare, thus rendering wars better, more exciteing and difficult.

Very true.

Another way they could be made more interesting is, their stat is affacted by your realm alert level/nox. If you are on critical, defence planets become more effective, but attack planets are rendered almost useless if you apply nox? This would make players less inclined to sit about massing people while using nox.

Not a bad idea actually would really hurt those with big planets who lived the entire serverwar on merlin hehe i say put it in NOW.

I love that idea, the nox afterall, are a peaceful bunch, and dont like you useing weapons! It all fits perfectly into place.

I say REMOVE NOX as well. Its a way for **Filtered** to avoid heavy losses bah.

But i do like your planet idea.

nah, nox is a good idea, and often prevents massing large peaceful targets who have done nothing wrong as it would takes longer to mass.

M8 NOX like ME and Turns unlimited is some of the things ruining this game as well as planets.

But NOX should be removed because i see tons of people even in war hiding behind it because they wanna avoid losses and fear for their accounts well being instead of doing as it is WAR lol.

Agreed, Nox is something that makes it harder to mass too, so i think it should stay for now, when bloodrelms gets properly fixed nox becomes irelivent anyway, so proper wars would be faught without it. Lets not however get sidetracked,

Back to planets. 8)

good idea at first.. but i dont think people invested in the planets they have so that they stop working when merlined

No they invested in them so they could hide them behind merlin and mass or build far too easily and cheaply. Your negateing the whole idea that the game in itself needs to go back to its core stats to make it more difficult and more fun and make wars proper and winnable. This idea is with the intension of helping move the game forward and get rid of the staleness caused that planets are part of.

Well it seems to work only for attack planets which I do think cause a lot of problems when it comes to taking losses.
