Why is it "allowed" to make mocking jokes/criticism about christianism, its institutions and christians, but not about islam and muslims?
This might not be the case in USA, so I'm asking this to all people from Europe and Australia (and South Africa?).

It's not that I myself don't understand why, I just want your opinion/version about it.
I am personally against this fact, if you want to know my stance.

its never allowed to mock anyone for what they are..

i do it anyways, in my head.

but it is allowed everywhere to a certain extent..

just like we make jokes about christains, we make jokes about muslims too.. but its always to a certain extent.
anything above it, i usually laugh about it in my head

I mean that you can hear very often jokes about priests, about catholics doing this or that, about popes...but when it's about muslims (think about danish caricatures for example) it's like it's totally unacceptable.

Didn't get the pig thing. Thought of it as a second degree metaphor instead of seeing it as it is, pig meat.

we rnt here to discuss how "bad" the pics are, we already know they exist..

What the original poster asked, is why arent we "allowed" to do this to muslims like we are allowed to for christains..?

I think we are.. i dont know what is so different about the racial insults..? they both happen and have always been happening.

If someon makes fun of my religion i luagh with them add some of my own jokes haha hehe

umm... for the most part atleast where i'm from we make fun of who ever whenever and laugh about it, it's not like a racist thing, or a predjuice thing, it's just a thing we do hell have you ever heard a black man do a black joke, they have some that us white boys never hear, and when they tell me a white joke i about pee my pants in laughter there are some good ones out there... all i can say is i guess it's however the person takes it imo if it's wrong or not
