Does anyone apart from me even attempt to RP ancients?
Im surprised more people havnt swapped from ancients to asgards (in name only) with the new updates because they are a lot easyer to rp.
Ancients are too hard because the entire point of them is they are ascended wheras all the other races are not. but i cant really be going round saying you have not ascended when im LG and others are 23 times ascended
still...tis a challange.
does anyone else try it?

does anyone actively rp ancients rather than passivley?

its possible to "activly" rp an ancient?
i suppose you could be unascended, in a galaxy of your own or an outcast

we would say that acting as if you are superior to everyone, and that most stuff is beneath you is a good way to do it... (but without the "god" stuff that the goa'uld use)

and in SGA there was and ancient that was put in mortal form to protect a planet and that used her powers to fight the wrath when they were attacking the planet


or you could RP as an ancient that is a rogue and that the others can't really destroy

btw on a side note how come ancients don't get their own forum title thing?

they do have a title group, its the one called "alterans"

Ancients do not have to be ASCENDED.

They can be still "human" in nature but with ancient knowldege (not omnipotent) or as Zeratul said, Alterans (slightly less knowledge then human ancients.

I would find it difficult to play an Ori, as the Ori are ascended but the "beings" that follow are not.

My character is Goauld, however, I have knowldege of the universe through my Ori encounter but not omnipotent knowledge or do I

I am surprised a lot of players do not play as Lucian alliance members or Genii as they are good characters to rp with.

indeed, those groups are very nice to RP with... or against...

maybe we shoould do a little Ancient RP battle voted by their peers we can see who is the greastest ancient RPer

could get people more active in RPing

Between...me (who RP's and doesnt play in game) and Dan (who doesnt RP but does/did play as an ancient in game) and all the others that neither play as an ancient ingame nor RP as them on the forums?
