Juliette posted a good reason for it not to be filtered. However, to request for a word banning, I think forum issues section fits more than this one.
Considering rudeness of said word, if it's hidden, people can use it as they wish and escape being warned for using it.

Its an ugly word, i think it should be banned.

I mean that if *all* rude words are filtered, like "idiot" being filtered as well, then we wouldn't know whether said person said "idiot" or the other word, which isn't the same use...

Also, it could be bypassed easily, and then, a word being not offensive at all, niger, would be considered as evading filter and give warnings. Furthermore, this act could be considered as "offensive" as it would consider Niger (Capital: Niamey) as a filter evading. "Niger,gri" also happens to mean black if not mistaken in latin.

I believe if you quote it you can see wat word it is... so if you really wanna know then bam

No. It is either filtered, or a warnable profanity. It cannot be both, for the simple reason that we are not going to see what filth people want to sneak into their posts under the filter. What the filter doesn't catch, we warn for: n1gger, if nigger would be banned.
I am not the only one who sees the irony in a request to ban nigger(s) from the forum.

Besides, that only works with "edit", and that's something only the user themselves and the mod team can do.

DOESN'T MATTER the word is wrong period end of story and needs to be gone!
