SGW's Changed for good or bad?

I started the game in late 2005, back then there wasn't planets, there was around 6 to 10 ascensions, billions was like QT's then.
GREAT TIMES:
turns at 2k per bill
ascensions were alot harder then due to costs
trying to get a 10k up VERY HARD
selling market turns
forums always busy
massing actually hurt your account and cost abit....

It made the game more fun, now its a case of, 'lets go to the black market and spend $100, cool i have a 200mill army size....' i understand that a game should grow but the updates how made it grow to fast for its own good

Now, all these updates...,planets which have out balanced the game...
Mothership Techs, meaning MS's have grown to big for a army size to fund without buying naq using $'s or several accounts funding 1.
you cant defend naq no more, so why do you have a defence?
strikes, worst part of it all.. 1mill supers and you get a 1trill strike?
how stupid is that, i no alot of you hate planets, alot of you love them cause you take advantage of them....

are there updates killing the game? thats my question to you

now a new update bringing in alliance houses, to give big players more power and letting smaller players suffer? making sabbing more powerful, very good for us with big covert levels but those starting off, we can pretty much sab 50% of there weapons without much damage, how is that helping new players?

alot of you will disagree with me here, i dont want you to agree with me to be honest i just wanted to ask a question and see your opinions on this and for you to see my opinion, if im chatting alot of rubbish dont even reply.

tbh the new updates on beta are so stupid eg 3 AT min and the houses expecially its jsut so rubish waht will change fo the game implementing houses? thats my question.

strong remain strong and weak remain weak how will it help anyone lol.

Dean, this is old hat mate. Most people agree that the game is going to the dogs.....

What we need is a way to hurt people in wars [perhaps a way to kill a % of miners everyday]. What we need is to tie planets to normal stats again [perhaps total of all planets can only add 50% to stats]. What we need is to get rid of MS techs, and downsize them [perhaps like covert used to get downgraded, simply reduce all MS's by half]. What we need is an active admin who understands the game.....not more half-arsed, ill-thought-out updates like these Houses.....

reseting is a bad idea, due to people have put so much into there accounts and dont have time to rebuild due to family, work, real life issues...
alot of the main players in this game would be lost i think...

maybe some deupdates i think :D

I started playing this game not long ago, without the cash my account would be nothing what it is today.

So personaly I think the game is great the way it is without the new house update.

But then again I am a new guy and thats my 2 cents worth... 8)

I think a reset would be impossible since Admin have sold so much for $$$$ on the basis of 'no resets'. Also many players would simply walk away if the game was reset.

BUT

I totally agree with Dean on how things have gone downhill, I started about the same time ( Oct 05 ), there was no planets, no raiding, no MS, UU was hard to come by and hence more valuable, if you wanted to mass someone you had to have a good reason to make it worth while, wars could be won, and $$$ players got so little for their $$$ that it wasnt even an issue.

Maybe its just nostalgia, but I the game was more challenging and interesting IMO

go back about 2-3 years and it was perfect for me now a days its 2 easy to do anything but that could be just cause people have told others how to do 1tril att with out having a 1tril strike ie planets and MS

i actually like the beginning of the games everyone is even :) and u can compare what you have to everyone alse Q is always changing so i dnt want to try that again lol and the prob with Q is u have to click osmeone to farm them like ascended so no fun at all :(

In fact this game died a long long time ago. All you need to do is ask the old skool players if it died.... oh wait the majority of them aren't around anymore!

This game didn't die for any sole reason, it was a mix of reasons. Game Updates, lack of Game Admin presence, $$$, and a big one is personalities.

How many old skool players think the game is as good as before or better than before?

Who thinks the game is awesome right now.... anyone that says yes to that obviously didn't play back in the day when it was much better.

Things were a lot more harder back then and wasn't so easy to get resources. Take this for example (those of you that remember)... it was very hard back in the day to get mercs... not like now when there are 100m available. I became one of the best merc sellers in the game back then, just ask people like Lore and WMD. I put in masses of effort to get those mercs and to sell them and make a profit.... what do you guys have to do now to get mercs?.... oh that's right, go to the merc market and type in a number and you'll get them immediately out of the 100m available.

So the answer is NO the changes have not been good for the game.
