I had a fignuts topic with the name even earendil saw the light and this breaks no rules so i pmed julliet and as always in her rude tone tells me

You use Earendil's name in this manner and expect to just .. what, get away with it?
Did you have his permission to use him in your recruitment advertisement? No. I thought not.

Now, had you been sensible and actually asked Earendil for this permission, you'd have had no issue.
Now you do. I fixed it. Complain to the boss if you must.

There no reason to change an alliance name thats not slandering anyone i see a bunch of topics that altair posted with peoples names like JT RSE and others why arent his changed

also the technicality u guys are going on (admins) is that nuts dnt grow on a tree well not many people know that lol so who really cares ?????

I, and only I, changed the thread title to say FIGNUTS. Before, as anyone who'd bother to check out the thread would have noticed, it was called: "Even Earendil has seen the light".
I renamed it to "FIGNUTS Recruitment Thread".


Now go and find something that the Ombudsman actually needs to be involved in to whine about. Like a warning? Did you get one? Didn't think so. Soo.. move along, nothing to see.





Catering to potential idiots; RED is the previous title, GREEN is the title I gave it. I trust that is clear.
If Earendil makes a complaint about you using his ingame info to slander him, you will receive a warning. Just so we're clear on that, right there. No surprises, more whining and all that, you know.

Because correct me if I'm wrong, but that is what I said. If you did not understand what I colourcoded, you're either unobservant, or an idiot. Witty topic names are fine really, but yours was just downright unnecessary and provocative. It deserved to be changed. 'Tis the case.

fact is user did not want his name ( and rightly) associated with your alliance name (which is a very disturbed name to say the least.. but what you do with your anatomy is ur business).

I don't see this as being an ombudsman issue, personally, but as something which belongs in the 'Talk to the Mods Directly' section as it's a user with a specific question about what did or didn't happen to a thread.
