I started a thread about has the game gone from good or bad due to updates...

It's pretty much obvious this game as gone rubbish, so why dont you try and stand together and make admin change it....

taking away all these stupid updates...

im sure once admin relises no $'s are going in his paypal he will change his mind and probs help out


1 or 2 of you moaning will not do anything but all of us going on a strike will
lets do it people for the furture of SGW's (that sounds so sad haha)

It's been tried, but didn't work..
But there was still not enough people to ask for it..

If admin is getting 0$'s and everyone is complaining, he as no option but to change the game

the game is for us to play, not him....

This is the 99999999999999999999999999 thread about this... Can we just deal with it and move on? Either play or don't. Pretty simple i'd say. Admin is obviously NOT going to change his mind and/or change anything so we mind as well adapt and move on...

I highly doubt everyone would complain and/or stop paying. Because not everyone would be aware of this at first hand (many people don't visit those forums, or this section), at second hand some wouldn't want to stop buying ressources even though they might see reasoning in this.
Finally, some people actually like how it's currently. Don't ask me why, I'm not part of them.

My idea was to start a petition about all unfixed bugs (doubled ME, alliance wars,...) but finally didn't do it. As I'm "burnt" updates/complaints wise hehe, did start too much threads.

yes maybe the 99999999999999 thread about it

but the fact is, its affecting the game...

less people online at 1 time, more people complaining

why should we adapt and move on to something we dont like?

should everyone just quit after years of playing because of stupid updates?

or should we fight for what we want?

yes some people do like how it currently is but every person ive spoke to since i joined the game back hates it at the moment

Best way would be to have a petition started by a long term player who knows well about the unfixed bugs (where are you Lore? ).

Because it's not only even a matter of updates, but a matter of unfixed bugs (doubled ME, alliance declared wars reports, return of bought dual planets stolen by people...). Hopefully admin will fix them in round 2 updates of beta.
Updates are less likely to be removed than bugs to be fixed, well, in theory.

Granted, admin meets are cancelled on occasion... but I think the only way anything may get done is if you make a suggestion in the suggestions forum, get some feedback from the players, once you get feedback and work out the kinks for your ideas... then bring it forth at an admin meeting. The only way you can be heard is if you confront him directly.

Yup, go on a strike.

Dean mate, why did you come back if you so clearly dislike the current state of the game?

There have been attempts to get Jason to listen.....I'm sure Lore has shouted himself blue in the face trying to get him to look at some of the long-term bugs. But the problem is a lot of people like the game as it is. Oh, they'll complain that you can't hurt people, or that massing is too easy, but when it comes down to the crunch, they prefer this. It means they're safe. It means they can mass people without fear of reproach. It means they have little to lose and can be a big fish in an ever decreasing pond.

The game is better in many ways to what it used to be. Motherships are not necessarily a bad update. Planets likewise aren't an evil by default. But they have become too powerful compared to the other stats. When Jason was active he recognised that this could happen - he downsized covert several times, sometimes by a factor of 10, to make it more in line with the other stats. He needs to get rid of MS techs, perhaps even divide MS powers by two. He needs to tie planets to raw stats far more effectively. And perhaps implement a better version of alliance warfare in which set requirements could be followed, such as a minimum def etc. And he definitely needs to steer clear of the Houses update.

A few tweaks of the game mechanics, and this game could be better than ever.

Probably. That's why it's so fustrating. Someone can mass you, but you not being able to do **Filtered** back.
