Seriously, Zac Effron??? Couldn't they find a young actor that can actually do a serious acting job? Last time I checked, there aren't any singing parts in DN.

to be honest I think it's fitting.

I wasnt impressed by the show. although I recommend watching it once, and once only. I do not understand all the hype about the series at all. its NOT the best anime out there. reading the above, I deduce the following. 15 YEAR OLD EMO SCENE KIDS WHO LOVE DEATH AND DEATH RELATED THINGS. Imagine the horror when they discover their precious Deathnote has been fouled by..... "it".....

it will even it all out.

so I say, bring on the effron, it will either make the movie better or destroy careers. either way, win-win.

but i didn't bother finishing the series...it became fail after abt half way

Why must America remake everything the Japanese work on that becomes successful in the media industry, and we never copy their technological advancements?!

This will be fail. Guaranteed. No matter who is "acting" in it. Because Hollywood fails as remaking anything done well by the Japanese.
