A use for untrained mercs

Now there is raid in the game i think untrained mercs could have a use. What if there was a percentage chance the attacker took some of your untrained mercs rather then untrained units?

No. The untrained mercs have served no purpose for a long long time. Since before untrained only made naq and nothing else back when they fought too and you could actually kill somebody. Unlike now when you can sab their weps and if they're smart and know they're weaker they'll sell their weps and buy UU and train it as spies or something.
The untrained mercs are, and forever shall be, useless.

I'm not so sure. I've seen threads like this before. Nothing will come of the untrained mercs anytime soon.

Understandable. It's fun to think up ideas to help out the game. I mean, if somebody comes up with a spectacularly, amazing, mind blowing idea for the untrained mercs then I would totally support them and their idea, but I'm thinking that won't happen anytime really soon.

I have another suggestion for untrained mercs.
At the mo they dont seem to do anything, I've been playing for around 5 months now and have never seen them do anything useful.
Give us a train/untrain option so that they can sit as useless untrained during times of peace but then if we go to war we can train/untrain for att/def as required. that would at least make them useful.
to avoid people buying them and training them to improve rank make it so that they dont effect your rank, only your att/defence damage

why buy untrained mercs to train when you can just buy trained mercs

because there arent a lot of trained mercs on the market, but its a bad idea as mercs arent supposed to be trained there mercs

But then the rich players will just be all the untrained mercs and train them and there won't be any trained mercs either.
The best thing for untrained mercs would be to use them as they were originally used - they contribute to both attack and defence, just not as much as trained mercs.

ive been playin for a while and i dont even know what traind Mercs do lol could somone tell me?
