So, what are people's preferance with the houses. Assume they will be brought it anyway.

Houses
1.) Perhaps change Houses to Empires
2.) Houses or Empires serve no purpose other than improving communication between the alliances.
3.) No bonuses. More bonuses only hurt smaller players even more. Nothing you do will correct this... and to be frank, new accounts should have a difficult time just like everyone else that has played this game had to go through. Those that go through the gauntlet will be better players for it.
4.) Empire Attack logs. Similar to alliance logs, but contain activity from all alliances within the empire. To reduce the lag, reduce the time frame to only include the last 4 or 6 hours.
5.) Increase the number available.
6.) Permit a voting sytem within the House/Empire.
7.) Allow communication throughout the empire.

other - just give us empires with the option of using bank funds for meaningless perks ie empire wide messages etc.

So basically it's poll option 3. No bonuses, just empire wide abilities.

mm, i like Max's idea for houses then the current ones. Though i would go with either redistribution of stats, or no boost at all

What's the point, then? Why would I bother joining a house just to gain 5% attack, when I'll lose x% of all my other stats? I'd rather stay out of the houses at that point.

On the flip side... -2% of zero is still zero. If you refuse to build defenses, you lose nothing.

Because if you are both LG+1, and have 1m super attackers, then your attack is stronger, which also helps your AC

So I gain 5% bonus to my attack. Don't build a defense and therefore no loss to my defense. Don't you see this could only lead to more snipering? House bonuses can and will be exploited in some way.

It also means less covert power. So you can be sabbed more easily. And without a defence, you can be ACed too.

And that's why your suggestion is no better than admin's. The only way to do Houses is to provide no bonuses.
Besides, if I have level 34+ covert... do you think I'm gonna care about losing a few spies and weapons?
