How to improve activity

So, as many of us have noticed, activity in general has been on the slow decline.

So, i want to devise a think-tank. Where we can toss around ideas to either bring people back, or get the current people more active in the game.

Ideas:
1) Promote the game.
Lets get the name out there, like all the other MMOs out there are advertising on here. And also have different advertisements from the ones that advertise OTHER games like this one.

Double posting to present my idea.

Which is use the Origins system of AT generation. Whereby, if you attack that turn, next turn, you get 45AT, and like 3 "rested". Without attacking, you'd get 5 i think "rested" turns.

The way i think would be good for the Main system is this:
If you attack that turn, you get 45 non-tradable turns, and 3 tradable.
If you do not attack that turn, but did last turn, you get 3 tradeable turns.
If you didn't attack this turn, nor the last turn, then you get 6 tradeable turns.

This would improve activity (even if it's only over turnchanges), as well as not flood the market with AT like before. Keeping the AT ratios as they are now, as Jason wanted, but also, allowing people to farm/grow better, as they get an extra 3-4 attack/turn for free.

sounds like a good idea

increasing activity is where the game should be headed i think
it will keep new players playing, and the old ones too

And hopefully draw new players. Since if people know lots of people play, then word of mouth gets arounds, as well as overall site activity.

You will have the same problem you have in origins tho.

Those with no school, job, or prior engagements can sit online for 8, 12, 16 hrs straight gaining 45 AT per turn over 12 hrs that's 1080.

While a working man/ school bound/ prior engagements person gets say 1 hr in the morning and 2 hrs at night and thats 270.

Thats drasticly skews the game in favor of those most active.

I'm not for nor against the idea,,,, yet. Just stating the known issues that arose/exist on origins now.

That or remove the dam advertisements for ALL the other MMO games out there. It can't be a wise idea, to promote your compatition on your website can it?

Perhaps we should develop some advertisements for it?

Lore: Whilst that is true. Would it not encourage people whom even though are only able to get on for 3 hours a day, to try and squeeze another 30 mins in?

I know another idea that would probably help, apart from the multi problem (which will ALWAYS exist), is increase the new accounts resources. Giving new players SOMETHING to work with more, has got to be better then the what is it, like 3UP/day, and like 500 units or something?

id say more turns, (personal ones)
cant be traded, so no multi problem, and new people can actually do something

and do what with those turns? mass...snipers? The core of problems needs to be fixed first, not fancy things on the outside. People want to play a game thats playable and fun/serious and not watch some stupid noob mass your 1 trill defence when they have nothing at all.

And how does one build a 1T defence? By waiting for their own production? (Sure if their patient to wait what, a year?)

No, they use the turns their given to raid/farm/planet steal (after 30 days). So they can grow and learn, then when they do get massed, at least they have something to help them recover

Of course, i went on there to try and promote it myself.

Better idea! Make a "We Love StarGate Wars" or something similar group. That way we can invite people to the group, organise meets etc :-D
