would YOU buy them for that price?

Yes, that is perfectly fair.
And no, because I don't buy ATs.

hold on what was the point in making this topic if you dont even buy turns. yea free will blah blah but within any market real life or ingame ther are rules and boundries otherwise it wouldnt be sustainable. what the increase in AT prices has done is forced many players to turn to the cash market for turns. some are now just buying them there and selling them for naq on here and making profit. thank you for handing the advanatge to the $$ spenders and the typical sgw player and upcoming newbies get slapped in teh face with high prices :-$

If I did support lower prices it's because people who like to mass or farm for low amounts, use both $$ market and this market. (I personally only use $$ ingame market for ATs haha) However, those who did rely on MTs can't really anymore and expensive ATs aren't easy for them.
I'm aware of the issue of low rating farming and easy massing, but problem is small people should afford ATs if they cannot spend money, as the ingame market got dumped.
750-775bil/k seems a more balanced rate than the 900bil-soon-to-be 1tril/k.
That's only reason I support low prices. As I got used to live with autogenerating+buying for 10$ ATs and not rely on this market anymore.
However I don't buy or sell ATs much here so it's not like I will be guilty of anything hehe.

Aren't you doing the exact same thing, only on the other end of the scale? Balance must be maintained. If one party drags prices down, another shall raise them. The average price will be, as it was before, average. Besides.. your party doesn't have endless supplies of turns to sell.. in the end, the buyers will all have to adapt to the higher prices again. What you do now might cost the High-Price sellers some buyers for a few weeks, but once you run out of goods (and you will, unless you're willing to buy AT for $ and sell whilst incurring losses), people will come running to those who have AT's. This kind of artificial price-manipulation never works. It never does in the real world, and it won't with the current game mechanics.

*grin* And yes, everything becomes more expensive. You must be feeling the sting of selling for sub-value prices? We can farm 2T on 1k AT, average, some people quite a bit more. We do not really feel the 250B extra to spend on the AT's in our pockets. Our profit margins are maintained. Short-term vs. long-term.. short-term the CAF will have the upper hand in the pricing, long-term, EAP will maintain control.

Let's buy from the poor CAF, and sell to the rich EAP. ;)

What harm can a little bit of friendly competition do on a market.

Thank you, Juliette.

Now, for those that cry about ATs being too expensive, it's your own fault. It's your own endless random massings and meaningless wars that made them jump from 200bil/k to ~800bil/k within a year. Now you cannot afford the scarce ATs, so you're trying to 'fix' the market by pressuring AT suppliers into selling for cheaper prices.

Despite the name, the EAP does not force AT prices to rise. Let the market 'go with the flow', and everything shall even itself out. If people stop buying ATs because they are genuinely too expensive, then AT prices will drop. And vice versa.

How many people that buy AT on this market, have you seen going out and massing. And how many do you see whom don't sell/buy on this market that DO go randomly massing.

I must say, i see more people whom buy with $$ massing, then anyone on here that buys AT whom goes random massing. By random i means "for fun" not as a result of a war or personal vendetta.

the goal of the CAP is not to drag the price to an unreasonable price....750 bill per k is exactly enough for the buyers and at the same level it`s not to low for the sellers....

it`s not like we are dragging the price down to 500 bill per k....tbh I started from scratch and am without SS
I get my fair share of 1080 untransferable AT`s per week + generic and I am doing quite well in perg because the farms are pretty good and the shortage of AT`s just makes me go for targets with bigger amounts in the open...

1080 + 1074 = 2154 AT

for that amount I am able to farm 8 trill + with my strike of 100 bill...that number will go up a lot more after I ascend and increase my strike ;)

so long story short:
" screw main plain, I`m still growing faster than many others in main plain without even trying hard" ;)

I don`t depend on the AT sellers, the few extra trill I`ll make for the AT from the market when I come to main plain will just be an extra bonus to help me remain on track with my growth....

"where there is will, there`s a way"
believe me that people will find a way around it to avoid paying the sellers ridiculous amounts of naq for a little chunk of ATs ;)
I did, I don`t see why others shouldn`t

best regards

Yes, I agree with that. But you're telling me 1 year ago, they were also buying with $$$?

Yes, I would. 200bil/k and 800bil/k is quite a difference.

So you're telling me that forcing the market to go down is benefiting both sides of the market?
Heck, with all the naq and uu out these days, why would any AT seller consider selling anymore if you force them to sell at a lower price?

just as in RL you have various sellers who sell the same merchandise for a different price and the buyers go always to the seller who has the lowest price...common sense

why should I buy something for a lot of money if someone else has the same product with the exact quality and warranty for a lower price???

Of course you could buy the more expensive product if you had extra money but imho that`s still a waste of money

I can`t even see why is this all still an issue, if you don`t want to buy ATs for a price that you consider to be high, then don`t buy it and the same goes for sellers, if you want your ATs sold for a higher price than the most of the community is willing to pay, then wait for someone who will come and give you that kinda a cash

You are making a big deal over 100 bill difference for the price of AT yet the sellers themselves lose trillions by selling those ATs just because they are too lazy to make themselves a farm list and spend a couple of minutes farming....

no wonder people fall so much behind others when they don`t use their resources properly :-s

lets face it - let sellers pick thier prices (without being massed) and let buyers chose thier selliers on prices and rep - people will only pay for ats to a certain extent and if not then sellers can hike or drop prices accordingly.

I say leave the system as it is and let people barter and argue over prices...if ye want turns bad enough you will buy them at high rates where as the shrewder people like myself can haggle a bargin or can get them at discount from sources that we do trading with over a longer period.

No evil Trade Federation or Lucian Alliances

No control mechanism on the ats prices either - prices generally reflect the public demand and most are aware of this so its up to people to shop and choose a reseller with a fair price and buy from there. Free Economic Competition should be encouraged.

Let the market be free to choose...

Exactly. The goal of the EAP is to ensure the fact that AT sellers get to choose their prices. The CAP is trying to forcefully bring down the prices.

No, YOU are making a big deal over 100bil.

Just as in RL, price fixing is an offence.

What you are doing is totally different to what you are saying.

You are only trying to rob the profit off of the AT sellers. The market has it's own 'prices', and just because YOU think they are too high does not mean YOU can try to lower the price by refusing to buy over 750bil/k, creating a discriminatory environment against those who sell above 750bil/k. There have been many examples where people have been threatened because their prices are higher than market prices...

Are people in this game all fascist pigs? Why can't I rebel against society and not be massed? Can't I put up a thread selling ATs for 10tril/k?
What happened to freedom of speech?

My View On The Matter Is This -

Lets Face It Unless A Player Is Prepared To Sit Around And Wait For A Few Thousand Turns To Build Up 4 At A Time, They All Originate From The Ingame $ Black Market, Current Prices Are Way Too High At 9000 At's For $10..Working Out Roughly At $1.10 per 1000 At's. If The Cash Buyer Of The Turns Uses Some To Trade For Other Ingame Resource Such As Naq Or UU They Dont Have A Choice But To Sell For A Higher Price Than 750b Naq ( $0.75 In Cash) To Cover What They Paid If They Did They Would Loose $0.35 On Every 1k Sold For Naq, Even Selling At 850b - 900b They Are Under Cutting Theirselves At The Moment And I Blame Nobody But Game Admin For This....ITS A GAME! All They Have To Do Is Add A Few Zero's To The Amount Of Turns Available And Allow Us To Get More For Our $ And Everybody's Problem Is Solved, It May Even Bring Alot More Players In To The Picture, I Do Support Bringing AT Prices Down But Before Anybody Can Do Anything Without Suffering Losses Admin Must Firstly Play Their Part And Lower Their Prices And In Turn The Private Trader Can Then Willingly Lower Their Prices On The Forum Marketplace Without Any Argument Atall As They Could Afford To Do So. We Shouldnt All Be Fighting Each Other Over This. ALL Of Us Should Email Admin And Complain About The Ridiculous Prices They Charge....If Its $ They Are Tring To Make, Cheaper Prices Means More Would Be Bought And They Would Make Theirselves More $...Instead They Are Screwing Theirselves Over As Well As Us! ....Here's To You Admin :smt097

Less ATs will mean a better game. And $$$ spenders will only further unbalance the game. If anything, having very low/no profit margins for buying with $$$ then selling for naq then selling for $$$ again is good as it stops 'spawning' of resources.
