Ok we have the black market where we can buy resources from admin and we have the resource market where we can trade resources with other players so why cant admin do its own resource trade market so we can buy ats for naq and so on direct from the game without handing over oodles of cash or waiting days for someone to agree to a trade

ps

dont try and say we have one with the market turn trades cause that isnt the same [-X

i sow that in game which came out just after SGW and it was on topic Lord of the rings. Now i don't know if still exist.

In that game their were no private trade broker which you have to wait when acceped.

Seller just put out trade and if you wanna buy it you got it. Then seller could collect trade resources in 48 h or something like that and even close trade if not interested of selling or just updated price.

can someone clear this up for me, do you want a market without having the market turns.

or do you mean something along the lines of, the black market except ingame, where you just post prices of what you're selling at and people can fast trade without brokers and without names?

Im assuming he means a black market thats paid for with In game resources.

So Naq/UU/Turns that can be bought from the game at current market value...

oh, well how will the rates be decided? i assume it'd just end up the same as the current ingame market? no?

with what tek said is what i mean, as for the prices thats for admin to decide say on the market ats are being sold for 800/850/900 bill per k then he can set an average or higher price and so on for uu and the like, the idea for this suggestion is when you need resources but you dont have the cash to pay there and then you arent having to wait for an offer to be taken up by someone but can goto the admin market and get your uu, naq or ats straight away if youre willing to pay the price set by admin

That pretty much kills the user to user trades for all but people selling at below market rates. Which in turn will drive the price down gradually and flooding the game with turns/UU/Naq even more then at the moment.

The idea of naq/UU/Turns on demand with in game resources is an interesting one, but the user-user market is a large aspect of the game play.

Playing the markets (or lack there of) is still an art, a dying one but still...

simple safeguard for the current market is you can only purchase once or twice per week from admin market, lets face it we know how hard and expensive it is trying get uu or ats and that in turn is turning people away through frustration of not being able to play as much as we wish too

I actually prefere the idea of placing trades for people to view. That way, they can see what's on offer, and at what rates.

I would also say, leave the private trade broker too. That way you can set personal trades with people, so you can still send resources for free.

Regarding the allowing more trades, i would say, leave the 3 private brokers, but allow up to lets say 5 open trades, but start with 2. Don't make the upgrades to expensive.

Also, i like the idea of a better market. Sort of like buying from Admin. But having alot more turns to trade for. Make it more dynamic, as it seems static to me at this point. Whereby you can sell your 5b naq for 35? turns. But when you do, the turns on the market stay there and don't go up? And the naq available on the market doesn't go down. I remember the good old days when the market rates would reset with the market reset, and everyone would rush to buy at cheep rates... Ah the good old days.

Didn't Chaos have something like this - at least in the first waves?

You pick your resource and put it up on the market at the price you want, and there were no names used so that when the trade was accepted by someone then the resource went to you.

Only problem I can see is if you are trading say naq for UU and the UU go into the open. I suppose you could always just do the trades for while you are on PPT or it could be seen as a risk.

The other loophole is the potential to use this market to safe gaurd large numbers of resources indefinitely. You put resource X up for trade but at a VASTLY overpriced amount so no one accepts it. I will assume that there would be an inbuilt reject or time limit on trade and so therefore your resources are safe forever - just like in a broker - safe for 2 days.

Don't get me wrong, the idea does have some merit and allows people to sell their resources at truly what the market rate is but it also has some abusability.

I like the no names used. Especially if we keep the private broker also.

Isn't that problem the same as the one that exists with the current system? Except that it's 1 person that may accept whilst your not there, not the server. But you should be able to by-pass it. By say brokering your UU first, so that when they accept, they get the UU, and the Naq goes into the bank. Perhaps we can have a 12 hours to recover traded goods, like when a broker is expired, that way, the UU aren't in the open, and you can retrieve them when you get the time.

Yeah, I'd say an expiration time, so that you don't hold indefinitely.

Nick the code from the first chaos wave and put in that market since what pug is suggesting isn't going to happen with a limitless horde of ATs or naq :D but a proper trading system may work and gets around brokers. You put it up on the ingame market your Ats for X naq, and someone either takes them or not.

Exactly, it'd be like the stock market, but ingame

Buy AT for like 900B/1k. And find a buyer buying for 950B/k :-D
